If you’re anything like us, before you take a sip of your favorite bourbon, you enjoy a few sniffs of the various aromas. And while there’s no disputing the appeal of nosing a whiskey before drinking it, have you ever wanted to smell like your favorite whiskey? Well, now you can, thanks to the folks at Elijah Craig.

Elijah Craig Char No. 3

Famed whiskey brand Elijah Craig is launching a bourbon-scented cologne. It’s called Elijah Craig Char No. 3, and it was created to make you smell like the smoky charred oak of a well-made bourbon, as well as notes of juniper berry, lavandin, vanilla beans, cocoa, and orange blossom. It gets its name because level 3 char is used for every barrel in which batches of Elijah Craig Bourbon are matured.

Elijah Craig Char No. 3’s main aroma was formulated by Symrise, a global leader in fine fragrance. It was crafted by studying the charred oak staves that are used to mature Elijah Craig Bourbon.

“Elijah Craig’s pioneering approach to Bourbon-making, especially the art of barrel charring, has always been about craftsmanship, depth, and character,” Max Stefka, Associate Vice President of Global Whiskey Brands at Heaven Hill, says.

“Those same qualities naturally lend themselves to a fragrance – one that captures the spirit of our legacy through a rich, layered scent experience that feels unmistakably Elijah Craig.”

Where can I find it?

Elijah Craig Char No. 3 will be available soon for the suggested retail price of $49.99. It can be pre-ordered so your bourbon-loving friends and family can get bottles in time for the holidays. It will also be available for purchase at Heaven Hill Bourbon Experience in Bardstown, Kentucky.

Tequila Corralejo Introduces Smaller Bottle For the First Time in More Than 250 Years
Alcohol, Beer, Beverage

If you’ve walked into a Mexican bar or restaurant, chances are you’ve noticed the big blue bottle of tequila. Corralejo is famous for its tall, slim bottles that come in 750 milliliters and 1.75 liters. The 750-milliliter bottle is the standard size you’ve probably become familiar with. Corralejo also has clear bottles for its Blanco, red bottles for its Añejo, and a tall, round, bright blue bottle for its Triple Distilled Tequilas, among other shapes and types.

It’s been this way for decades and decades. But for the first time, Corralejo is meeting the demand for smaller, easily digestible, and giftable bottles. Arriving ahead of Hispanic Heritage Month and Mexican Independence Day in September, Corralejo is introducing the 375ml Reposado bottle, which aims to create “a timely entry point into Tequila Corralejo’s more than 250 years of tequila-making heritage, while offering a right-sized option for intimate gatherings, gifting, and cocktail occasions.”
