You might be surprised to learn this, but popular whiskey brand Penelope Bourbon is launching a new Four Grain Bourbon in collaboration not with a brewery, a celebrity, or another distillery, but with a home furnishings brand.
Penelope Beaufain Four Grain Bourbon

Inspired by the history and allure of South Carolina’s Lowcountry, Penelope Beaufain Four Grain Bourbon is a collaboration with home furnishings brand Serena & Lily. This release coincides with the popular southern brand’s first storefront, which opened in Charleston this month.
The bottle is adorned with a pattern similar to the historic floral wallpaper motif that was discovered in a Charleston home on Beaufain Street from 1838 (hence the name).
The whiskey itself is an 84-proof expression crafted by Penelope Bourbon co-founder and master blender Danny Polise. According to the brand, this limited-release is filled with flavors like caramel, vanilla, toasted grain, sweet corn, oak, and baking spices.
“It’s a bourbon made with Charleston in mind. A blend that makes you want to slow down and enjoy each sip,” Polise says.
“We couldn’t be more excited to collaborate with Serena & Lily on this limited release,” adds Michael Paladini, Penelope cofounder and vice president of strategy.
“Much like Serena & Lily brings the Beaufain design to life through pattern and texture, we approached this blend by thoughtfully curating flavors with the same intention the brand brings to its designs.”
Where can I buy it?

To say that this is a limited release is an understatement. Only 246 cases will be made available for purchase online and at select retailers in Charleston and surrounding markets. No price has been listed.
