New Riff recently announced the launch of not one, but two unique whiskeys: a straight bourbon and a straight rye whiskey. Both are 6-year-old additions to the Silver Grove series and the oldest to date.
2026 Silver Grove releases

The two releases are Silver Grove Straight Bourbon Whiskey and Silver Grove Straight Rye Whiskey. The bourbon was made with a mash bill of 65% corn, 30% rye, and 5% malted barley. It was matured for 6 years before being bottled at a cask strength of 116.4-proof. According to New Riff, the result is a multi-layered whiskey centered on flavors like apple blossom, orchard fruits, baked apples, candy apples, pecans, and baking spices.
The rye whiskey begins with a mash bill of 95% rye and 5% malted barley. According to the brand, it contains pronounced flavors including candied orange peels that bring citrus sweetness, clove and cinnamon for spice, baking spices for warmth, dark berries for a rich fruitiness, toffee for buttery sweetness, and oatmeal raisin cookie dough for a hint of sweetness and soft texture.
Brian Sprance, Master Distiller for New Riff, shares, “We’ve been really looking forward to releasing older age statements, and we’re excited that this marks the first Silver Grove release aged 6 years.”
He continues, “Over the years, our distilling team has followed these barrels closely and learned which flavor profiles really resonate with us. The barrels we selected for this release stood out with unique character and flavors we don’t typically see — flavors that immediately excited us when we first tasted them.”
“We don’t blend for consistency; we blend for taste, and this release offers something distinctive that we think whiskey drinkers will really enjoy,” Sprance concludes.
Where can I buy them?
