Being a cowboy conjures images of grit, adventure, and a signature Stetson hat. But becoming one isn’t as simple as donning the iconic headwear. For most of us, living the cowboy life may be out of reach. Fortunately, we can still sip like a cowboy thanks to Hye, Texas-based Garrison Brothers Distillery, which just released its wildly popular Cowboy Bourbon.
Garrison Brothers Cowboy Bourbon

Released in December, the 2025 version of Garrison Brothers Cowboy Bourbon is celebrating its 11th annual release. Each bottle of the newest edition was made from hand-picked barrels, selected by Master Distiller Donnis Todd, that had matured for at least 8 years. Only 10,000 bottles of this uncut, unfiltered, cask-strength bourbon will be made available to the public.
Bottled at 146.4-proof, according to the brand, it begins with a nose of toasted marshmallows, smoke, and toasted wood. The palate is a mix of baking spices, cracked black pepper, and dried fruits. The finish is long, lingering, and warm, ending with dried fruits and more toasted marshmallows.
“It’s strong and mean at first, but the all-encompassing flavor makes your mouth water, and you’ll begin to drool if you’re not careful,” Says Todd.
“The flood of warmth never ends. Layered dried fruits and toasted marshmallows — it’s a Texas chaser you can’t stop sipping.“
Where can I buy it?

If you want a bottle of Garrison Brothers Cowboy Bourbon, you’d better act fast. This annual whiskey doesn’t stay on shelves for long. It’s available currently at select whiskey retailers, bars, and restaurants for the suggested retail price of $249.99.
