Kite Bug Repellent Keeps You Bug-Free and Others Alive

They’re coming– disease-ridden pests that feed on your blood. Mosquito weather is just around the corner. Thankfully, Kite bug repellent products exist.

Some might say the itchy-borderline-painful mosquito bites are a fact of life; a badge of perseverance; the signs of summer. But the truth is, mosquitoes are much more than a nuance– they can be deadly, transmitting things like malaria, West Nile Virus, Zika, and Dengue. Not to mention all the other flies, gnats, horse flies, berry bugs and other stinging, biting bastards that threaten to ruin a good time.

The market is flooded with products that claim to keep them at bay: sprays, balms, citronella candles that don’t seem to do much of anything. Kite decided to do something about that– the innovative company found a way to block CO2 receptors in bugs– so they’ll never even know you’re there– but without the use of chemicals like DEET.

From the beginning, our goal was to change the way we protect ourselves against the nuisance and discomfort of crawling, flying, and biting insects,” Kite CEO Amro Albanna says. “We sought to shield humans from mosquitoes and other insects, without using harsh chemicals. Our first product, Kite Shield is different in this way, and as impressively effective as the products containing 7-10% DEET.” This claim isn’t just some hot CO2: third party studies have backed it up. Whatever plants and extracts Kite combined are clearly working.

Interestingly, Kite got its start thanks to a crowdfunding campaign. “We wanted to rally the crowd, get them involved, and make them a part of what we were trying to do,” Albanna explains. “The tremendous support we received strongly reinforced the crowd’s support for what we were working to achieve.” Clearly! Their Indiegogo campaign raised over $500,000. “Their support has also kept us going, to continue to push through the challenges that came our way.”

It’s also important to Kite that the people most in need of bug repellent have access to it– after all, it could mean the difference between life and death. “We have made a commitment to give back, so Kite products can be made available to everyone, everywhere. We hope to work with NGOs, who will be able to help us bring Kite to those people who need it most, so they can fight back against mosquitoes and other insects.”

With Kite, you can enjoy the outdoors using an awesomely effective botanical formula of bug repellent that’s also helping to keep people safer and healthier around the world.

Beginner’s guide to cigar shapes and sizes — and why they matter
Why your cigar choice says more about you than your watch (and how to pick the perfect one)
A collection of cigars

Walking into a cigar shop and facing what seems like a million options is enough to make anyone panic. Cigars stacked everywhere, each with a strange name, size, and a slightly different shape from the last one. If you haven't done this before, it's tempting to just grab something, anything, and run!But hold on a second. Those shapes actually matter. They aren't just there to look fancy or make things confusing. The size and shape change the whole experience of smoking that cigar – how it tastes, burns, and feels. It's kind of like how driving a tiny sports car is way different than driving a big truck. Both get you where you're going, but the experience along the way is not the same.

Every new Game of Thrones spinoff explained
George R.R. Martin's television world continues to grow
Matt Smith starring in House of the Dragon

When it first aired on HBO in the early 2010s, Game of Thrones dazzled audiences with revolutionary special effects and terrific acting in a unique fantasy world. Based on author George R.R. Martin's series of novels, the universe depicts the battles between several different noble families as they try to climb to the top of the continent of Westeros, both politically and figuratively. The war scenes, family drama, and massive number of characters helped make the story feel fresh and new every time a new episode aired.

As Martin's attention shifted to television and away from his books, fans have looked to the TV series to finish some of the stories he couldn't finish on the page. Game of Thrones left fans wanting more, despite its poorly received finale, and a plethora of spinoffs are on the way. House of the Dragon already has two seasons completed, and there are several others in the coming years to look forward to.
House of the Dragon
House of the Dragon finished its second season in 2024. The show chronicles the heated family dynamics of the Targaryen empire almost two centuries before the events of Game of Thrones. The third season should pick up the civil war between Queen Rhaenyra's forces and King Aegon's after a slow-building conflict throughout the second act.
