Tissot has just released the new PRX Quartz Chronograph, filling what’s arguably the last obvious gap in its breakout PRX collection: a quartz-powered chronograph.
Since its 2021 relaunch, the PRX has expanded into automatics, multiple case sizes, gold accents, and exotic materials like titanium and Damascus steel. An automatic PRX Chronograph arrived in 2022, but a quartz version of that same chrono function never showed up until now.
The 41mm stainless steel case comes in under 12mm thick with 100 meters of water resistance and three vertically brushed dial options: silver with rose-gold-colored hands and indexes, black with nickel-colored hardware, and blue, also with nickel accents. Each dial carries three chronograph counters, a date window at 4 o’clock, and Super-LumiNova on the hands and indexes.
Inside is a quartz chronograph movement; folks around the internet are speculating it’s the ETA G10.212 PowerDrive, though Tissot’s own materials don’t name the caliber directly. It’s priced at $525.
The presentation of the whole thing is pretty impeccable (at this price point, for a quartz movement, it pretty much has to be) and the whole package just looks clean.
Tissot’s biggest recent success story just got cheaper to buy into

The PRX isn’t just another Tissot line. Since its relaunch, it’s earned a reputation as one of the most compelling Swiss automatics under $1,500, with retailers reportedly struggling to keep it in stock at points and watch-industry outlets consistently naming it one of the most successful Swiss watches of the decade. That success has translated into variety: different sizes, materials, and movements, all built around the same integrated-bracelet silhouette.
A quartz chronograph is the version that arguably should have existed from the start, and its absence has been a minor but real gap for anyone who wanted the PRX Chronograph’s stopwatch function without the automatic version’s $2,150 price tag.
At $525, less than a quarter of that cost, Tissot is making the case that the chronograph and design language, not the movement powering it, is what most PRX buyers actually cared about.
Where to buy it
