Although the summer season is behind us, that doesn’t mean it’s time to put away the boat shoes. While typically a summer shoe, the boat shoe has been upgraded into a year-round shoe that fuses traction with a timeless look. This versatility has only grown thanks to designs like those from Sebago. In their newest collaboration, Sebago takes the boat shoe and turns it into your new favorite sophisticated everyday shoe. For the partnership, the brand has joined forces with American yachtsman and former America’s Cup winner Gary Jobson for a boat shoe that returns it to its sailing roots. A modern upgrade of its 1980s design, the Portland Gary Jobson returns with premium materials and craftsmanship, making it a proper revamp.

Sebago and Gary Jobson go sailing with their newest boat shoe

Paying homage to Jobson and Sebago’s long-standing partnership, the latest boat shoe release reminds everyone of the importance of the sailor to Sebago’s collaborative lineup. Available in three versions, the Portland Gary Jobson boat shoe is offered in two suede options and one full-grain leather option, allowing users to select the material that best complements their wardrobe. Despite the difference in materials, each version features hand-stitched detailing, Sebago’s non-slip rubber sole, and an upgraded pattern that bears Jobson’s signature. The Sebago boat shoe is available for purchase via the brand’s webstore and retails for $195 each. While the boat shoe marks another stellar collaboration for Sebago, it’s not the only partnership that’s arrived at the brand. At the same time, Sebago is also introducing a new line of personal care and lifestyle products with fragrance brand St. Johns. This collaboration includes soap, mineral-free deodorant, fragrances, and travel sprays. The Sebago x St. Johns collection is also available via the Sebago webstore.

Seiko’s newest 145th anniversary watches go all-in on purple
Wristwatch, Arm, Body Part

Seiko has unveiled its third and final 145th-anniversary series, a six-watch menagerie built around what the brand calls “Edo purple.”

The color dates back to Japan’s Edo period (1603-1868), when Tokyo was still known as Edo, and it’s been treated as a signature regional shade ever since.

Seiko’s new watch is a tiny tribute to a tinier Honda scooter
Wristwatch, Arm, Body Part

The folks at Seiko have a fun one on their hands: the 5 Sports Field x Honda MOTOCOMPO Limited Edition, a 36.4mm field watch built entirely around Honda’s cult “trunk bike.”

It’s a tribute to a weird Japanese cult scooter (more on that later), and the color scheme goes hard to match. A bright yellow dial cribs from the scooter’s original color, with a black band running across the center carrying the Honda logo — a nod to the MOTOCOMPO’s protective side bars.

Your summer shades are tired, it may be time for an upgrade with KREWE’s expert advice
Accessories, Sunglasses, Face

There are few things better than putting together a great look, checking yourself in the mirror, and then going for that perfect pair of sunglasses to slide on and complete the outfit. Your shades are the completion of a transformation from indoor to outdoor. They are functional in that they protect your eyes from the harmful rays of the sun. And they keep you from getting that annoying headache resulting from squinting all day. But they are also an amazing stylistic opportunity. They can become your statement piece; just ask Elton John if they are simply functional. But how do you select the right sunglasses to upgrade your collection? I was recently in the KREWE store down in the Meatpacking District and discovered that shopping for shades can be more than just scrolling online; it can be an experience unlike other shopping outings. After my experience in the store, I asked KREWE to spread the knowledge for shopping for new shades.

The best sunglasses are the ones you instinctively reach for day after day. But if your current pair is starting to feel a little too familiar, it may be time for an upgrade. – Kate McCabe, Vice President of Brand Marketing, KREWE
