Josh Brolin just gave us 45 movies he thinks every man should watch

These are the movies "The Dog Stars" actor thinks you should be watching.

Gun, Weapon, Firearm
Lionsgate

As a writer, I have a list of favorite books that every guy should read. And I love when artists recognize those in their industries that are stellar and change the game. I am a massive movie buff. I have my own list of top 250 movies that everybody should watch. But I am an outsider. Josh Brolin appeared on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, and the two of them put together a list of their favorite movies, and as you can imagine, there are some gems.

Robert Deniro, Kevin Costner, Marlon Brando, and even Jim Carrey appear on the list.

Cigar Lounge Spotlight: The Carnegie Club takes you back to Rat Pack days
Couch, Furniture, Body Part

Three blocks south of Central Park, before you find yourself lost in the hectic environment of Times Square, is a cigar lounge tucked back away from the hustle and bustle. It almost feels like a secret. A place only those in the know are privy to. Of course, if that is the intention, then lovers of this establishment will be coming for me in no time with their pitchforks. I am talking about The Carnegie Club—a cigar lounge sitting on 56th Street between 6th and 7th Avenue. From the moment you walk in, it doesn’t feel like a normal, run-of-the-mill bar. No, this has a New York feel, but a specific kind of New York feel. One that harkens back to the days of Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, and Sammy Davis Jr. This feels like the Rat Pack days.

Why John Ford’s Westerns Get Better as You Get Older
Clothing, Hat, Face

There are worse ways to spend an evening than watching John Wayne stop a stagecoach.

He stands in the road, saddle slung over one arm, spinning a Winchester as the camera rushes toward him. It is an entrance worthy of a movie star, and in Stagecoach, you can practically watch Wayne become one. Before he has done much of anything, you want to know where he is going. You would probably go with him.
