For this week’s episode of Beards, Booze, and Bacon: The Manual Podcast, Managing Editor Nicole Raney, Food & Drink Editor Sam Slaughter, and our wonderful host, Greg Nibler, chat with the president of Sagamore Spirit, Brian Treacy.

Sagamore Spirit is a Maryland-based rye whiskey producer that has risen through the ranks of Baltimore’s attractions to become the second best destination in the entire city (and that’s just in the first year that they’ve been open)! On the podcast, we discuss Treacy’s career before Sagamore (hint: it doesn’t involve whiskey at all, but it does involve the Grand Canyon), what it has been like to see his company grow, and — most importantly — rye whiskey!

Don’t know what makes a rye whiskey? Never heard of “Maryland-style” rye before? After listening to this episode, you’ll know all of that and more. We will warn you, though: This episode is going to make you thirsty.

The trailer for Pluribus.

After spending more than a decade in the world of Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul, Vince Gilligan is finally branching out into something new. The new series, which is coming from Apple, is called Pluribus and stars Rhea Seehorn, who also starred in Better Call Saul.

Now, we've got our first teaser for the new show, and it's just as baffling as you might expect. In the teaser, we see a woman licking every donut in a box of donuts, as well as a sign that says "Help yourself" along with a smiley face. The teaser is just 30 seconds long, and we don't see Seehorn or have any context for what the show is about.
