A new global analysis ranks London as the top destination for Christmas tours in 2025

A new study from PrivacyJournal has revealed the best cities in the world for Christmas tours in 2025, and London has officially claimed the top spot. Researchers analyzed data from Tripadvisor and Kayak, looking at four key factors that shape a standout holiday travel experience. These included the number of available Christmas tours, the median tour price per hour, the average number of languages offered, and the average hotel rates per night in December.

London ranks No. 1 overall thanks to its huge variety of Christmas tours paired with an abundance of free festive attractions. From glittering light displays across the city to iconic experiences like Hyde Park Winter Wonderland, the British capital offers affordability, variety, and easy access that made it the highest-scoring destination in the study.

European cities stand out in the new ranking, with nine of the top ten Christmas tour destinations located in Europe. Zagreb earns one of the top spots for its exceptional value, offering significantly lower hotel rates in December compared to Western European cities while still delivering a rich holiday atmosphere and popular guided tours.

Language accessibility also influenced the rankings. Cities such as Amsterdam and Nuremberg scored highly because they offer tours in more languages, making it easier for international travelers to join in the Christmas fun.

Quebec City rounds out the list as the only North American destination to break into the top ten. The Canadian city stood out for offering a European-style Christmas tour experience without crossing the Atlantic, complete with charming markets and historic architecture.
