Air France is celebrating the opening of a new lounge in Terminal 5 at Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD). The 5,060 square foot space, which opened October 17, features a clean, inviting design by Air France and SGK Brandimage. Inside, travelers can find far-reaching views, natural light, comfort, and a French culinary experience.
A stylish new space brings French flair and comfort to Chicago travelers

The highlight of the lounge is a catering area where a French-style culinary experience awaits. There, guests can find 40 seats, including a large table for larger groups. Available dishes change continually, with classics on offer like beef bourgignon, country-style chicken, and chocolate mousse with caramel cream. Not only that, but Air France uses local, seasonal produce and focuses on reducing waste and recycling.
Those looking for a drink between connections can try the bar area, inspired by grand Parisian hotels. There, they’ll find French wines and spirits, and champagnes.
Large bay windows and lofty ceilings combine to provide wide-ranging views of the runway, while Air France’s signature colors of blues, whites, and red add a sophisticated feel. Carefully curated furniture ensures optimal comfort pre- or post-flight.
For ease of access, Air France positioned eligibility kiosks at the entrance. Throughout, there’s also free Wi-Fi, USB ports, and power outlets. Private relaxation areas contain ottomans and seats with views of the runways. Those needing to focus on work or calls can enjoy peace and quiet courtesy of a functional work area and dedicated phone booth.
Lastly, Flying Blue Ultimate customers get their own private space, where four seats await. The area ensures privacy while still providing access to lounge amenities.
