In a move that masterfully merges the beauty of athletics with independent horology, H. Moser & Cie. has recently announced a partnership with Philadelphia Eagles star Saquon Barkley as its newest “Friend of the Brand.” This collaboration merges the elite worlds of Swiss watchmaking and American professional sports, marking a transformative moment for the esteemed manufacturer.

This partnership was forged through a genuine connection to Moser’s aesthetic

Barkley’s journey with the brand was unconventional, beginning when he decided to wear a Moser timepiece to the 2025 Met Gala, which immediately drew attention to his personal brand of understated elegance and quiet luxury. Bertrand Meylan, CEO of MELB Luxe, confirmed the organic nature of the collaboration, stating they were not actively seeking a football ambassador at the time. This genuine approach is a hallmark of the brand’s strategy, which values meaningful connections over expansive ambassador rosters.

The collaboration signals a strategic team-up of kindred, indie spirits

Barkley, celebrated for his dynamic talent and sense of style on the field, is a fitting ambassador for a brand known for its uncompromising independence and horological mastery. This partnership reflects a broader trend as the NFL’s global footprint expands overseas, making such cross-cultural collaborations increasingly logical. Barkley joins a very small yet intimate circle of Moser partners, which includes the Alpine F1 Team, highlighting the brand’s focused and intentional approach to collaborations.

An alliance representing a new chapter for independent watchmaking

The partnership of Saquon Barkley and H. Moser & Cie. demonstrates that the appeal of high horology is expanding into new arenas, connecting with a generation of elite athletes who value craftsmanship, lineage, and a spirit of independence. This partnership successfully signifies that true style is universally recognized and beloved by true connoisseurs.

Hands-on with the new Victorinox Maverick, a 20-year-old icon gone smaller
Watch, Hands, Dial

There’s something to be said for knowing which way the wind is blowing. The watch world is no exception, and the newest release from Victorinox is doing exactly that: twenty years after the brand launched the Maverick collection, they’re modernizing one of their longest-running lines to meet people where they (and their wrists) are at.

The Swiss brand has dropped the case size, set up 14 total references — 10 quartz on Ronda 715 movements, four automatic on Sellita SW200s — swapped some movements, and adjusted pricing. I’ve been wearing the automatic in blue, priced around $1,200, for the past few days to see how that move plays out on the wrist — and the results are all business.

Dickies and Budweiser’s new collab is pure America-maxxing
Pants, Shirt, Clothing

Somewhere, a bald eagle is shedding a single tear over Dickies and Budweiser’s first-ever merch collab.

The two teamed up for Bud’s 150th anniversary, which is a heck of a milestone. Dickies was founded in 1922, so it’s no slouch either, and the hundred-plus years of combined workwear and beer experience have made this a pretty strong collection.

BENRUS moves past reissues with its first original design in years
Watch, Strap, Dial

Every BENRUS watch since 2025 has been a rerun. The Type 3X is the first new episode. The American watchmaker founded in 1921 just dropped a brand-new, modern field watch built with input from former Tier One special-operations veterans.

It’s the first watch since the brand’s 2025 relaunch that isn’t a reissue of an old design: the Vietnam-era DTU-2A/P, the Type 1 and Type 2 favored by Navy SEALs and Special Forces, and the #3061 famously worn by Steve McQueen in “Bullitt.” The Type 3X breaks from that pattern entirely, built from scratch rather than pulled from an old catalog page.
