As we’ve seen in recent seasons, the nostalgia trend is alive and well. From the resurgence of archival designs and the remixing of iconic silhouettes, many footwear brands are looking to the past for inspiration in their future designs. Such is the case for Nike, which has recently revived some of its retro favorites for its latest launches. However, in their newest release, Nike isn’t reaching towards archival silhouettes, but rather updating a classic sneaker with a vintage design. Apt for the Y2K era, the recently announced Pegasus Premium is a digitally inspired sneaker that fuses everything you love about the Pegasus line with a more fun and statement-making print. Full of glitch prints and distinct details, the new Pegasus Premium takes on the digital space with a fresh take.

Enter cyberspace with Nike’s new Pegasus Premium

Using a pixelated mosaic print for its upper, the latest Pegasus Premium is all about bringing back the 2000s in style. Made up of tones of red, purple, blue, and white, the sneaker delivers the notion of static noise and the digital space. Accenting the classic black laces are neon green stripes that give a nostalgic feel. Also filled with plenty of color is the shoe’s midsole, which dons a red-to-volt gradient that seemingly brings everything together. White branding adds another layer of contrast, without distracting from the overall feel. The full-length Zoom Air unit cushions provide ample energy return and comfort with every step. The distinct tread also features ‘ZOOM’ branding, while providing plenty of grip and boost to the design. While Nike has yet to announce an official release date, the “Multi Pixel” Pegasus Premium is scheduled to arrive later in 2025 for a retail price of $220.
