For the love of Italy: Hockerty releases 14 looks with inspiration from 14 Italian locations

I am a traveler at heart. Every day, I wake up and have coffee, and stare out the window at a world still full of wonders and mysteries I have yet to uncover. Since the day I joined the Army, my heart has always been on the road, in the sky, or aboard a ship. The idea that there is a part of the world I have yet to see is both exhilarating and frustrating. Chasing those undiscovered corners of the world started as a passion and an experiment and became a way of life and an addiction. I say all that to say, I find inspiration on the road. I see the world around me as a canvas for my imagination.

I am also a menswear fanatic. From selling suits to writing about them, a good suit is always in my bag with me. So when a brand I love, Hockerty being a favorite, finds inspiration in a place, I pay attention. I wrote about their summer edit a while ago, with their colors at the forefront of my attention. But I missed something. I missed that all fourteen looks they debuted were inspired by different places in Italy.

Inspiration comes in all shapes and sizes…or places

I was in Portofino last month, and their inspiration from that location garnered a lightweight, unlined, linen double-breasted in a soft pink color. An Unlined powder blue double-breasted linen-tencel jacket with a pink shirt and loafers with tassels. The cold and warmth of the same lake, resolved in a single outfit born out of Lake Como. The sun-dried Cretes represented by a chocolate Sahara safari jacket with a belt. Volterra is represented in a yellow jacket that stands out among everything else.

Inspiration comes in all shapes and sizes, and most of all, in unexpected places. Dressing in Italy is an art form. And Hockerty has helped you by providing the brush for your brilliant paint strokes.

Citizen’s Tsuyosa Shore gets a vintage-leaning limited edition
Wristwatch, Arm, Body Part

Citizen is adding a new limited-edition model to its Tsuyosa Shore line, and it’s got a great look to it if I say so myself.

The Tokyo-based watchmaker’s new drop features a deep black dial, with a gradient effect and a textured surface that catches light differently depending on the angle.

Nomos just made its smallest watch even more interesting
Wristwatch, Arm, Body Part

Nomos Glashütte has added two new versions of its smallest watch to the permanent collection: the Tetra 27 white and the Tetra 27 duo.

The German company has been making square watches out of Glashütte since 1992, when the Tetra launched alongside the Tangente, Ludwig, and Orion. (Fun fact: the name Glashütte is a legally protected designation of origin.)

Dress like an iconic interior designer with J.McLaughlin’s new collaboration
Face, Happy, Head

Fashion designers litter the horizon across the menswear space. Each one brings a different vision to the landscape of men’s clothing. Some are basic and simple, leaning heavily on solid colors, classic pieces, and expert tailoring. Others preach to their customer base that expressing yourself through your clothing is easiest with bright colors, bold patterns, and silhouettes that stand out among the sea of classic run-of-the-mill garments. J.McLaughlin is one of the best at finding that middle ground and providing pieces for both the former and the latter. In their new collection, they teamed up with iconic interior designer Mark Sikes for a fresh take on menswear seen nowhere else in the industry. After designing Jill Biden’s White House spaces and heading across the street to transform Blair House (sometimes called the White House Guest House), Sikes brings looks to the forefront at J.McLaughlin you can’t miss.
