roadkillghostchoir “Combining the experimental edge of Radiohead and the dusty roots-rock of Tom Petty, the five-piece make music that sounds tailor-made for arena-sized, prog-rock festivals and grassy, pastoral stages alike.” – Consequence of Sound

“…an exciting build from what we heard on Quiet Light.” – Paste Magazine

Emerging fully-formed from the desolate heart of Central Florida, Roadkill Ghost Choir make unsettling, powerful American rock, Tom Petty by way of Radiohead and Cormac McCarthy. Set against Kiffy Meyer’s ghostly steel pedal, singer and main songwriter Andrew Shepard triumphantly conjures an allegorical American landscape of drifters, specters, and violent saints. Andrew’s brothers Maxx (drums) and Zach (bass) Shepard round out the rhythm section, and Stephen Garza handles lead guitar. The band released their debut EP Quiet Light in 2013 in the midst of a touring run that saw them opening for Band of Horses and 2013 festival slots at New York’s Governor’s Ball, Austin City Limits, and Shaky Knees in Atlanta, GA. In January 2014 the band was invited to perform on the David Letterman Show, where they performed standout track “Beggar’s Guild.” The band’s full-length debut, In Tongues, recorded in Athens, Ga., and in its home studio in Deland, Fla., with producer Doug Boehm, is out August 19. The band will be touring supporting the new album, including stops at Bonnaroo and Lollapalooza.

This delicious cigar is 50% off right now and I just bought some — you should too
Man in pink suit smoking and enjoying what a cigar tastes like.

Amazing cigar deals don't happen too often, especially on boxes, but that's exactly what's happening at Atlantic Cigars. The absolutely delicious HVC Hot Cake in its standard line is 50% off right now for boxes. That means you can get the Laguito No 4 or Robusto equivalent size for just $114, normally over $227. That's an incredible deal, and we're talking about boxes here. HVC boxes come loaded with 25 cigars, more than the average of 20 per box. Atlantic deals are known to sell out fast, so don't wait around. I have already bought some, and I think you should too.

The 10 best medium cigars I’ve tried and tested in 2024
Man smoking cigar casually outside his home, best medium bodied cigars.

Cigars come in a range of strengths, from mellow and mild to full-bodied. The middle road, as you might expect, is a solid medium. One misconception I commonly see about cigar strength is that it directly correlates with flavor. While full-bodied cigars do offer robust and unique flavor profiles, it's not always true that they are the most flavorful. If you know where to look, you can find many mellow to medium smokes that are still flavor bombs. A perfect example of this is the . Yes, it's a mild to medium blend, but the flavors are incredible, with a creamy buttery finish. Medium smokes are also what I would recommend to friends, family, and acquaintances who don't like the toasty and smoky flavors of a stronger cigar like a Maduro. Without further ado, here are the best medium cigars I've tried and tested in 2024 and would recommend to everyone else.
