Forget Drycleaning; Swash Your Clothes!

Dry cleaning can be a hassle. It’s expensive, it can take a long time, and it isn’t very good for the environment. Unfortunately there aren’t that many alternatives, but luckily the folks at Whirlpool and Tide have come up with a machine that solves all these problems.

Named the Swash, the system helps save your dry cleaning problems in three ways: First of all it saves time by helping garments look their best under 10 minutes. Second of all, it cuts your dry cleaning costs down by about 50 percent. Third of all, it saves your clothes by preventing dyes from fading and fabrics from pilling. White, blue and orange lights count down cycle completions and also alert you in case anything goes wrong. In addition, it’s nice and compact, so for those of you who don’t live in compact apartments, there’s plenty of room to store Swash, which can fit right into your closet. And, you don’t need any complicated water pipes, just a standard outlet.

In those 10 minutes, it removes wrinkles, neutralizes odors, and restores the fit of your clothes, returning them to the condition that you bought them in. How about that? You may never have to go to the dry cleaner again.

Still not sure about it? Swash only costs $500, and if that investment is too high, they’re giving a 45-day risk-free trial.

We have to say, with all the delicate clothes in our wardrobe and the nuisance of ironing and dry cleaning, Swash just might be a god send.

The 7 best cult TV shows to add to your watchlist
Quirky comedies and sci-fi dramas features heavily in cult TV culture

A lot of TV shows reach mainstream popularity to the point where they belong to everyone. No matter how much you might love Breaking Bad, there's someone out there with just one more Walter White poster on their bedroom wall (yes, even the adults do this.) Friends is the comfort drama every Millenial puts on the screen when they're down in the dumps on a rainy Saturday afternoon in February. These are some of the most famous series ever put on the small screen, often so popular it becomes nauseating.

We want to focus on the shows that are a little more niche, the ones that were popular amongst pockets of the TV populace but never reached the wide audiences of the shows mentioned above. We refer to these classics as cult TV shows, and they come in many shapes and sizes. Some cult TV series make you laugh with weird characters. Others are dramas in obscure categories like sci-fi or LGBTQ+ historical epics. These are the best cult TV shows you need to check out and join the rabid fandoms of.

Want more shows like Paradise? These are perfect for your weekend binge
Hulu's thriller has similarities to these hits
Sterling K. Brown at an awards show

Thrilling shows that incorporate murder, mystery, and whodunit into the storytelling are a dime a dozen now on streaming television and movies. It seems every month, there's another series that asks fans to follow someone solving a crime with large-scale consequences on the line for the world and the personal lives of the characters. This oversaturation makes it difficult to find truly great thriller shows, but we wholeheartedly endorse Paradise on Hulu as one of the series in the genre that's worth watching.

Starring Sterling K. Brown, Paradise uses all of the tried-and-true elements of the crime genre along with enough creative novelty to make for one of the best political thrillers created in recent years. After the President of the United States is assassinated, Brown's character must solve the puzzle of his death and face the dire repercussions of the truth. We have all of the shows like Paradise that will make you want to settle in for a long binge-watch session this weekend.

Treat your mind: The 13 best short stories ever written
Like a good short story? Don't miss the ones on this list
A man reading a book while sitting outside

Everyone knows the pleasures of settling in with a good book, but most often when people think of reading, they think about chunky novels that might take weeks or even months to work through. And while there's certainly something to be said for sinking into the world of a novel and taking the time to really explore, if you're like me, sometimes you're in the mood for something on the short and punchy side of the spectrum. That's when I know it's time to look for a great short story. It takes a whole lot of skill to pack characters, world building, themes, motivations, and an intriguing plot into just a few pages, but there are a few outstanding authors who have mastered the art.

To that end, there are a smattering of short stories that stand out from the crowd. Admittedly, it's difficult to call them the best short stories because quality is subjective. But rest assured that those you’ll find recommended here are almost universally considered some of the most important little works of literature ever, thanks to some combination of their revolutionary style, timeless storytelling, or influence on nearly all writers to follow. Some of these are classic tales that have been beloved for decades while others are from current authors who are still breaking literary ground today, but they are truly great short stories one and all.
