Fans of Still Austin Whiskey Co. know all about the brand’s exceptional releases. But, even with all of its award-winning whiskeys, it just announced the release of its most premium whiskey to date. And it’s a perfect choice for drinkers who prefer to pair their bourbon with a fine cigar.
Still Austin Tanager Cigar Blend Bourbon Whiskey

It’s called Tanager Cigar Blend Bourbon Whiskey, and it’s a 107.5-proof bourbon made from a blend of blue, red, and white corn. It was matured for a minimum of six years in charred American oak barrels. It was hand-picked by Master Blender Nancy Fraley and Master Distiller John Schrepel.
While many cigar blends are finished in unique barrels like cognac, sherry, or most often rum, this special release is all about the whiskeys included, the Texas terroir, and the corn, rye, and other ingredients in the mash bills.
According to Still Austin, the result is a memorable, balanced whiskey that begins with a nose of Manuka honey, toasted coconut, marzipan, herbal tea, Herbs de Provence, cherries, and cream. Sipping it reveals notes of dried cherries, butterscotch, roasted applewood, white pepper, red tea, candied grapefruit, fresh pecan, and peach candy. The finish is centered on dried mint leaves, marjoram, pink peppercorn, black cardamom, fresh bay leaf, sweet lemongrass, and soft leather.
Where can I buy it?
