In recent years, some big-name distilleries have revived historic brands that seemed lost to time. The most recent example is the Sazerac Company’s announcement that it was bringing back Kentucky’s beloved Glenmore Whiskey. It also announced the release of two new whiskeys under the Glenmore name: Glenmore Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey and Glenmore Kentucky Straight Rye Whiskey.
Glenmore Whiskeys
Glenmore traces its roots to 1869 in Owensboro, Kentucky. Over the decades that followed, the distillery earned awards and gained countless fans. It continued distilling for more than 120 years before ceasing production in 1992. Finally, after a few decades, the brand has officially been revived with the introduction of Glenmore Bourbon Whiskey and Glenmore Rye Whiskey.
According to the brand, both whiskeys are bottled at a potent 100-proof. Glenmore Bourbon Whiskey features notes of oak, crème brûlée, toasted marshmallow, vanilla custard, caramelized sugar, and toasted pecans, before a smooth, warming finish. Glenmore Rye Whiskey is classic

We studied advertisements, labels, photographs, and records to help us piece together the Distillery’s story, and we’re excited to preserve that history while allowing the Glenmore name to be discovered all over again.”
Where can I buy it?
Glenmore Bourbon Whiskey is currently available through Sazerac’s United States distributor network and will be available at select whiskey retailers, restaurants, and bars beginning this month. Glenmore Rye Whiskey will be available beginning this month at select retailers. Both expressions carry a suggested retail price of $19.99 per 750ml bottle.
