Heaven Hill is the kind of distillery that only releases outstanding whiskeys. Its Parker’s Heritage offerings are no exception. Recently, the iconic distillery announced the launch of the 20th edition of this popular Kentucky straight bourbon whiskey.

20th Edition of Parker’s Heritage

Comprised of only 100 barrels, the 20th edition of Parker’s Heritage began with a mash bill of 78% corn, 10% rye, and 12% malted barley. Distilled between October 2011 and January 2012, it matured for a minimum of 14 years across four different barrelhouses and multiple floors.

Named for Heaven Hill’s late Master Distiller Emeritus Parker Beam, this ultra-premium whiskey is 118.0 proof and non-chill filtered. According to Heaven Hill, it opens with notes of honey, toasted vanilla beans, charred oak, dried fruit, and wintry spices. The palate is centered on flavors like oaky wood, peppery rye, vanilla beans, and caramelized sugar. The finish is lingering and warm, ending with a perfect balance of sweetness and rye spice. This epic expression is best enjoyed neat, on the rocks, or with a splash or two of water to open up the vast aromas and memorable flavors.

“The Parker’s Heritage Collection has allowed us to celebrate the extraordinary legacy of Parker Beam—his passion, his craft, and the lasting impact he had on Heaven Hill and American Whiskey,” Max Shapira, Executive Chairman of Heaven Hill, says.

“We are proud that each release carries forward both his memory and his enduring commitment to doing things the right way.”

Conor O’Driscoll, Heaven Hill Master Distiller, adds, “Parker understood that the smallest details in the whiskey-making process can have a meaningful impact on the final pour. “This edition reflects that belief, using rye backset to create a 14-year-old Bourbon with remarkable depth, balance, and spice. We’re proud to honor Parker’s enduring influence through a release that celebrates his steadfast belief in making the highest quality whiskey.”

Where can I buy it?

The 20th Edition of Parker’s Heritage Collection is available beginning this month at select retailers in the US, online, and in international markets for the suggested retail price of $199.99 for a 750ml bottle. Classic fall-flavored dark beers you should be drinking this season
Great Lakes

If autumn were a flavor, what would it be? I know this task is difficult, so let’s make it easier by thinking in beer terms. What beers taste the most like fall? Is it a pumpkin beer? Maybe an Oktoberfest beer? How about a smoked beer that emulates the aromas of a fall campfire? All of these are absolutely correct. That’s because fall is full of flavors, and the beer you drink reflects you and your personal tastes.

Fall is also definitely a dark beer. There’s no doubt about that. Cold nights, short days. It’s the perfect time for dark, malty, warming beers.

Heaven Hill is releasing a bourbon featuring whiskey from before a 1996 fire destroyed its original distillery
Heaven Hill Phoenix

Everyone loves comeback stories, right? In 1996, lightning struck the Old Heaven Hill Springs Distillery and destroyed it in a fire. Driven by wind, the 1935 distillery burned to the ground. The inferno destroyed around 100,000 aging barrels. To honor this event, Heaven Hill is releasing Heaven Hill Phoenix, a limited-edition, one-time 18-year-old Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey.

1792’s popular wheated bourbon just got a full-proof upgrade
Bottle, Liquor, Whiskey

Wheated bourbon has a reputation for being the soft, easygoing member of the bourbon mashbill family. Barton 1792 is betting it can hit hard too, with its new 1792 Wheated Full Proof, a 125-proof version of its 1792 Sweet Wheat bourbon.

Sweet Wheat first came out in 2015 and uses wheat in place of the rye found in most bourbon mashbills, which tends to give the whiskey a softer, rounder profile.
