Coffee may have once been associated with “morning rituals”, but it’s no longer reserved for just the traditional morning cup. Now, coffee is a staple in many cocktails, adding depth, complexity, and a natural balance of bitterness and sweetness. As we approach the cooler weather, coffee makes the perfect staple for seasonal cocktail spins on iconic fan favorites like the Pumpkin Spice Latte. From t

Tiramisu Martini

The Tiramisu Martini captures the recognizable components of tiramisu, such as rich coffee, decadent chocolate, and creamy mascarpone, all in a drink. According to Holger Hügelsberger, International Sales Director at Marussia Beverages, “The heavy cream layer [of the Tiramisu Martini] recreates the beautiful contrast in a classic tiramisu, with the creamy top layer over the coffee and chocolate. As you drink it, the cream mixes with the cocktail, creating a smooth transition.”

“It essentially mimics the way the different textures and flavors come together in a bite of tiramisu. The combination of Mozart Coffee Chocolate Liqueur and Mozart White Chocolate Liqueur provides two of the most important tiramisu flavors: roasted coffee and chocolate notes from the Coffee Chocolate Liqueur, plus a sweet, creamy contribution from the White Chocolate Liqueur. Together, they create a recognizable tiramisu flavor,” he shares. Here’s how to make this delectable (yet super easy) fall-inspired cocktail:

Ingredients

  • 2 oz Mozart Coffee Chocolate Liqueur
  • .5 oz Mozart White Chocolate Liqueur
  • 1 oz vanilla vodka
  • .5 oz heavy cream
  • Cocoa powder, for garnish

Method

  1. Combine the liqueurs and vodka in a shaker with ice.
  2. Shake and strain into a martini glass. Pour the cream over the back of a spoon to top.
  3. Dust with cocoa powder.

Pegasus Vodka Black Sesame Espresso Martini

Ingredients

  • 2 ounces of Pegasus Vodka
  • .5 ounce coffee liqueur
  • 1 ounce coffee
  • .5 ounce sesame syrup

Method

  1. Add all ingredients into a cocktail shaker, add ice, and shake vigorously.
  2. Double strain into a martini glass and serve.

Mozart Pumpkin Spice Latte

Inspired by the beloved PSL, this recipe turns coffee cocktails up a notch for fall gatherings by adding Mozart Pumpkin Spice Chocolate Liqueur for an even more indulgent experience that transforms the everyday seasonal favorite.

“Gently whisking the coffee and spice mixture helps to fully blend the flavors and creates a smooth, aromatic base before the liqueur is added. Served with a dollop of whipped cream and a sprinkle of pumpkin spice or cinnamon, it makes this an inviting cocktail to enjoy throughout the fall season,” shares Jenny Kelly, Portfolio Director of Marussia Beverages USA.

Ingredients

  • 2 oz Mozart Pumpkin Spice Chocolate Liqueur
  • 6 oz milk
  • 4 oz strong coffee
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup, or more to taste
  • ½ tsp pure vanilla extract
  • ¼ tsp pumpkin pie spice
  • Whipped cream and pumpkin pie spice, for garnish

Method

  1. In a small saucepan, combine coffee, milk, maple syrup, vanilla, and pumpkin pie spice.
  2. Heat over low heat, whisking. Remove from heat and add Mozart Pumpkin Spice.
  3. Pour into a coffee mug and garnish.

Stiggins’ Fancy Espresso Martini

While tropical pineapple and bold espresso may not be a traditional pairing, Jonas Indesteege, Global Rum Prestige Collection Brand Manager at Planteray Rum, says that’s exactly the point. “That contrast is exactly the point – Stiggins’ Fancy has a ripe pineapple character, but also spice, caramel, and a slightly roasted note, so it has quite a lot to say to coffee. The espresso brings bitterness and depth, while the rum brings fruit and brightness. Together, they create something that feels rich but still surprisingly fresh and aromatic.”

Adding a very small amount of orgeat helps pull everything together, with an almond flavor that softens the espresso’s edge. The citrus and floral notes pair naturally with the pineapple in the rum, adding roundness and texture without taking over the drink. For this recipe, Jonas recommends avoiding using coffee that is too dark or aggressively roasted, as it can overpower the rum. He suggests using a medium roast with a bit of sweetness for best results, perhaps something with chocolate, caramel, or subtle fruit notes.

“Central or South American coffees work really well for that reason. You want the coffee to support Planteray Stiggins’ Fancy, not fight with it.”

Ingredients

  • 1.5 oz Planteray Stiggins’ Fancy Pineapple Rum
  • .75 oz coffee liqueur
  • 1 oz fresh espresso
  • .25 oz simple syrup (optional)
  • 1 barspoon orgeat
  • 3 coffee beans, for garnish

Method

  1. Shake all ingredients with ice and fine-strain into a chilled martini or coupe glass.
  2. Garnish with coffee beans.

Mozart Coconut Iced Latte

Coconut is traditionally associated with summer, but Mozart is changing things up by pairing it with chocolate to create a decadent drink that transitions perfectly into fall. “Using Mozart Coconut Chocolate Liqueur is an easy way to elevate a standard iced latte, adding an indulgent layer without overpowering the coffee. Pairing it with oat milk adds a creamy texture and subtle sweetness that complements the chocolate and coconut, while coconut milk is a great option for an even more pronounced coconut flavor. The combination pairs beautifully with the roasted beans, transforming a familiar coffee ritual into something special,” shares Carina Planeta, Senior Brand Manager at Mozart Chocolate Liqueur.

Ingredients

  • 2 oz Mozart Coconut Chocolate Liqueur
  • 3 oz milk of choice
  • 1 oz espresso

Method

  1. Fill a glass with ice.
  2. Add all ingredients to the glass and gently stir.

Classic fall-flavored dark beers you should be drinking this season
Great Lakes

If autumn were a flavor, what would it be? I know this task is difficult, so let’s make it easier by thinking in beer terms. What beers taste the most like fall? Is it a pumpkin beer? Maybe an Oktoberfest beer? How about a smoked beer that emulates the aromas of a fall campfire? All of these are absolutely correct. That’s because fall is full of flavors, and the beer you drink reflects you and your personal tastes.

Fall is also definitely a dark beer. There’s no doubt about that. Cold nights, short days. It’s the perfect time for dark, malty, warming beers.

Heaven Hill is releasing a bourbon featuring whiskey from before a 1996 fire destroyed its original distillery
Heaven Hill Phoenix

Everyone loves comeback stories, right? In 1996, lightning struck the Old Heaven Hill Springs Distillery and destroyed it in a fire. Driven by wind, the 1935 distillery burned to the ground. The inferno destroyed around 100,000 aging barrels. To honor this event, Heaven Hill is releasing Heaven Hill Phoenix, a limited-edition, one-time 18-year-old Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey.

1792’s popular wheated bourbon just got a full-proof upgrade
Bottle, Liquor, Whiskey

Wheated bourbon has a reputation for being the soft, easygoing member of the bourbon mashbill family. Barton 1792 is betting it can hit hard too, with its new 1792 Wheated Full Proof, a 125-proof version of its 1792 Sweet Wheat bourbon.

Sweet Wheat first came out in 2015 and uses wheat in place of the rye found in most bourbon mashbills, which tends to give the whiskey a softer, rounder profile.
