The largest purveyor of non-alcoholic beer in the states is celebrating Earth Day. The brand has relaunched a campaign to support wilderness trails and dropped a new beer too. The latter, the Two For The Trails Milestone Edition IPA, is made in a sustainable fashion and part of a larger push to support the environment.
The Two For The Trails campaign sees Athletic donating up to 2$ million in 2026 to programs that increase access to and restore outdoor areas. It started years ago and has become a big part of Athletic’s persona. So, have a brew, save a trail. It’s a partnership that’s tough to dislike.
“The trails, parks, and waterways we rely on don’t preserve themselves,” says Athletic Brewing co-founder and CEO Bill Shufelt. “Two For The Trails is our commitment to protecting access to the outdoors, because if we’re not actively giving back, we risk losing the very places and experiences that bring us together.”

The beer itself is pretty interesting, made with some mindful agricultural techniques. It features Proximity ReGenMalt™, known to have a shallower carbon footprint than more traditional barley and hop options. Per usual, the non-alcoholic IPA comes in at 0.5% ABV (as most NA beers tend to).
The beer is available now and the campaign is ongoing. Earth Day commences on April 22nd. If you’re like us, you’ll celebrate with a nice brew and a good day hike.
Athletic Brewing is on track to have donated $10 million to environmental efforts by the end of this year. Not bad for a company that’s not even a decade old. It started back in 2017 and has become the largest player in the booming non-alcoholic beer circuit.
