Salomon has no shortage of mountaineering and technical footwear that aid your outdoor adventures. One of its most rugged styles, the X-ALP Suede, is created for this very purpose and delivers all of the support and features you need to get the most out of your journey. Designed as a hybrid model for fast, lightweight climbing, the X-ALP Suede is one of Salomon’s most versatile options, offering comfort and practicality on uneven terrain. As Salomon’s history is rooted in outdoor adventures, many of the colorways reflect this history, giving way to the brand’s earth-toned color palettes. Along with BEAMS, Salomon’s newest colorway emphasizes the brand’s inspiration with a triple-color swatch inspired by natural landscapes and mountaineering. While nothing else has changed with the X-ALP Suede, the latest colorway is another hit design that signifies more than just another new sneaker.

Crafted with a leather and textile upper, the X-ALP Suede dons all of the original features that have made it a standout in Salomon’s lineup. The hairy suede and 3D open-mesh material add plenty of texture and depth to the design while offering breathability. The new colorway adds earthy tones of “Bronze Brown,” “WoodThrush,” and “Safari” to the upper, creating a color combination that feels fresh and inspired. Although the colorway is new, none of the sneaker’s protective and practical features have changed. The supportive midsole and outdoor-ready tread still allow users to feel comfortable with each step, without sacrificing grip and stability on uneven terrain. The Contragrip outsole ensures the design can transition from urban streets to the mountains without a hiccup. Available via BEAMS and Salomon, the XLP-Suede sneaker’s newest colorway retails for $190.

It was the 1960s. We were in the middle of a Cold War with Russia, and instead of escalating to an actual war with bullets and bombs, we took the conflict to the sky. We created a war of economics, science, and morale in a race to the sky to be the first nation to reach the moon. While the race picked up throughout the decade, it came down to the wire before the USA won the race by landing on the moon (if you believe that sort of thing and don't believe Stanley Kubrick directed the greatest ruse of all time). Tom Ford is a name that every fashionisto knows well. He is the top of the top when you talk about famous suit makers. Now, for the real cinephiles in the room, you may also know that Tom Ford himself is a movie buff and entered the industry as a writer and a director in 2009 by directing A Single Man with Colin Firth and Julianne Moore. Then again in 2016 with Nocturnal Animals with Amy Adams, Jake Gyllenhaal, and Michael Shannon. Of course, the wardrobe was stellar in both, and we will get a chance to see his talents onscreen again this fall with a new Anne Rice adaptation, Cry to Heaven.
