Alaska Airlines’ global gateway in Seattle keeps adding destinations and is now selling tickets for nonstop flights to Rome. The daily, seasonal flights begin on April 28, 2026 and will be aboard state-of-the-art Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft. Intro fares start at $599.
Alaska expands its global reach with widebody flights connecting Seattle and Rome
After considering guest feedback, Alaska upped its Seattle to Rome flights from 4 times weekly to daily. Not only that, but Alaska is the only airline offering direct service to Rome. Passengers can look forward to an enjoyable journey via a “reimagined global travel experience” on modern 787-9 aircraft. Soon, the carrier will add another world-class destination, with its Seattle to London Heathrow, also taking flight next spring.
Curious travelers can explore the ancient expanses of Rome or the historic streets of London, without the hassle of connections or layovers. The two cities are among the most requested from Alaska’s Seattle hub, so the additions make sense.
