Porsche Design just unveiled an expansion of the Roadster Aluminum luggage collection with a new black colorway (joining the best-selling silver). After the launch of the first Roadster Aluminum, which introduced Porsche Design’s first-ever aluminum luggage, the luxury brand is back with this sleek new color option and new customization options.
The Roadster Aluminum collection pays tribute to the iconic 911 Targa, drawing from the distinctive design of its brushed aluminum roll bar, which set new design standards in 1965 and continues to define the Porsche identity today. Principles of protection, stability and precision are reflected in both the material and the collection’s clean, minimalist construction. The new black color evolves the series and to complement the update, Porsche Design has introduced new ways for travelers to customize their new “wheels”. Customization options include leather handles, leather tags and wheels, allowing customers to create a personalized look.
Customization options like genuine leather handles, name tags, and wheels are available in six color choices: Black, Dark Blue, Silver, Grey, Carmine Red, and Cognac (each of which are inspired by original Porsche colors)
The black Roadster Aluminum suitcases are now available in a small carry-on size (starting at $1,650, no customizations) and as well as medium checked ($1,850) and large checked size ($1,950. They are also available for purchase at Porsche Design stores worldwide.
