If you didn’t know it already, 2026 is the Year of the Horse in the Chinese Zodiac calendar. Tequila Don Julio 1942 is joining myriad other spirits brands in launching a special-edition expression to pay tribute to the Lunar New Year.

Don Julio 1942 Year of the Horse Edition

This limited-edition bottle contains the same award-winning 100% Blue Weber agave-based tequila that Don Julio drinkers know and love. The special edition bottle features a design that combines traditional Mexican ikat rebozo patterns across the glass with artwork of the Chinese Zodiac horse, replacing the usual bottle appearance.

To celebrate, Don Julio is partnering with Asian-American actor Ross Butler. Known for roles in ’13 Reasons Why’, ‘Riverdale’, and ‘Shazam!’, he embodies Don Julio 1942 tradition for this release.

“Lunar New Year has always been a moment that connects me back to my family and my heritage,” Butler says.

“Being born in the Year of the Horse adds a personal layer to the way I celebrate this year. I love how the Tequila Don Julio limited-edition bottle and capsule collection by Siegelman Stable help celebrate tradition through a modern lens.”

Tequila Don Julio has also partnered with Siegelman Stable, a popular equestrian-centric lifestyle brand founded and designed by Max Siegelman. Butler stars in the campaign, which features limited-edition clothing.

“Siegelman Stable is a reflection of my family’s deep connection to equestrian culture, which has been central to the brand from the start,” Siegelman says.

“Both my father and I were born the Year of the Horse, so celebrating this zodiac together through my collaboration with Tequila Don Julio feels deeply personal and I am proud to support TAAF and the amazing work they do through this collection.”

Where can I buy it?

Tequila Don Julio 1942 Year of the Horse Edition will be available at select tequila retailers throughout the US and online at SiegelmanStable.com for the suggested retail price of $199.99 for a 750ml bottle.

Momoya and the Art of the Sushi Dinner
Food, Lunch, Meal

An epically long procession of jewel-like courses at an omakase counter as serene as a Zen altar scratches a certain itch once in a while. A whiz-bang sushi dinner laden with wagyu, caviar, and edible gold at restaurants like Nobu or Zuma hits the spot on occasion. But usually, I don’t need sushi as sacrament or sushi as spectacle. I just want my fix of raw fish, vinegared rice, and sake. Quick, delicious, and filling—the type of dinner Momoya does with aplomb.
