2026 marks the Year of the Horse, the seventh sign in the Chinese zodiac’s 12-year cycle. To celebrate Chinese New Year on February 17th and its equine symbol, The House of Rémy Martin is partnering with well-known Chinese artist Xue Song for a special Lunar New Year bottle of its popular XO expression.

Rémy Martin XO x Xue Song Lunar New Year gift set

This limited-edition XO gift set was created to celebrate the new year. The artwork by Xue Song, titled ‘The Centaur is Paving the Way,’ features the brand’s iconic Centaur, but instead of simply throwing its spear, the Centaur is shown leading a group of five horses.

While this special edition XO cognac is adorned with beautiful artwork and encased in an equally vibrant box, the spirit inside is just as notable. If you’ve never tasted Rémy Martin XO, this gift set is a good reason to try it.

According to the brand, Rémy Martin XO is known for its nose of fruity plums and figs, candied orange peels, passion fruit, honey, and jasmine floral notes. The palate is centered on hints of passion fruit, ripe autumn fruits like mature figs and candied oranges, spicy nutmeg, hazelnuts, cocoa beans, honey, and gingerbread. The mouth feel is undeniably smooth and balanced. The finish is long, lingering, and leaves you craving more.

Where can I buy it?

The Rémy Martin XO Lunar New Year Edition by XUE SONG is available on  Rémy Martin’s website and at select retailers for the suggested retail price of  $209.99.

The best beers from California you can buy anywhere
California is more than just IPAs
Sierra Nevada

Currently, more than 9,000 breweries of all sizes operate in the US. That’s an awful lot of IPAs, stouts, and lagers to choose from. Some states are more saturated with breweries (per capita) than others. This includes places like Vermont, Colorado, Maine, Oregon, and, of course, California. While I could take a deep dive into all the biggest beer-producing states, today is all about The Golden State.

I have a special affinity for California beer, and it’s because of one style in particular. Sure, you can find a beer style to fit every palate in the state, but in California, the IPA reigns supreme. In fact, if you look at almost any list ranking the best beers in the state, it will be littered with IPA options. While I often imbibe pilsners and other lagers (as well as wheat beers and other lighter beers) in the summer as well as stouts and porters (and other dark beers) in the winter, I always go back to the classic West Coast IPA.
