Proper No. 12 is one of the most well-known names in the Irish whiskey landscape. You can’t go wrong by adding a bottle of its popular whiskey to your home bar cart. But, just in time for St. Patrick’s Day, the brand announced the launch of a new, blended Irish whiskey that you’ll want to have on your bar cart this March and beyond.
Proper No. Twelve Black Reserve Irish Whiskey

If you enjoy Proper No. Twelve Irish Whiskey, you’ll appreciate this addition. A blend of single malt and grain whiskeys, it’s matured for at least four years in heavily charred, level 3 first- and second-fill American oak bourbon barrels.
The result is a nuanced, complex sipping whiskey. According to the brand, it’s loaded with flavors like caramelized sugar, charred oak, vanilla beans, sticky toffee pudding, and wintry spices. It was crafted to be enjoyed neat, on the rocks, or mixed into your favorite whiskey-based cocktails.
“We want Black Reserve to reinforce what Proper No. Twelve has been about from the start: expert craftsmanship, approachability, and more than 400 years of whiskey production and blending expertise,” Lander Otegui, Executive Vice President of Marketing and Innovation at Proximo Spirits, says.
“The toasted wood and heartier caramel notes from the heavily charred barrels, balanced by the gentle vanilla sweetness, are a great testament to that.”
Where can I buy it?

If you want to add this whiskey to your St. Patrick’s Day menu, Proper No. Twelve Black Reserve is currently available at restaurants and whiskey retailers for a suggested retail price of $32.99 per 750ml bottle.
