As the name suggests, this new, rare expression was crafted to celebrate India’s festive season. This is the second year Johnnie Walker has released this expression. Johnnie Walker Master Blender Dr Emma Walker created the limited-edition blend. She and her team used some of the brand’s rarest whiskies from its reserves. But not only that. They selected the whiskies to complement India’s varied cuisine.
According to the brand, the result is a memorable, balanced whisky that features flavors like cardamom, saffron, rosewater, candied orange peels, clover honey, chocolate-dipper fruit, gentle wintry spices, and just a hint of warming smoke. All these flavors were chosen to capture the richness of the food on the table and the revelry of holiday celebrations.
“I was captivated by the artistry of Indian cuisine, the way chefs balance bold spice with harmony, elegance, and depth. That sense of balance became my inspiration for this special Blue Label blend,” says Dr Emma Walker.
