Dunkin’ is already kicking off the new year with new menu items designed to match a trending interest in protein coffee drinks. Coffee drinkers can now add protein milk to any coffee order, adding a simple way to add protein to drink the most common orders. Dunkin’s new protein milk delivers a creamy, familiar taste without a chalky texture or aftertaste. Any drink can be upgraded with Dunkin’s new protein milk, including coffees, lattes, matchas, and Refresher beverages. Dunkin’ has also launched some easy protein drink orders each which have 15 grams of protein for medium. New protein options made to fuel the ‘everyday’ include:

  • Megan’s Mango Protein Refresher (created in collaboration with Megan Thee Stallion)
  • Iced Protein Latte with Sugar-Free Vanilla: Featuring Dunkin’s first-ever Sugar-Free Vanilla Syrup, offering a lighter, customizable option to match New Year’s resolutions
  • Strawberry Protein Refresher: A creamy take on the fan-favorite Strawberry Dragonfruit
    Refresher.
  • Caramel Chocolate Iced Protein Latte: Bold espresso paired with rich chocolate and sweet caramel flavors and Protein Milk for a smooth, creamy sip.
  • Almond Iced Protein Matcha Latte: A creamy iced matcha latte made with Protein Milk and nutty toasted almond flavor, whipped to perfection.

“We saw protein milk as a natural way to give our guests more flexibility in how they enjoy the Dunkin’ menu throughout the day,” said Jill Nelson, chief marketing officer at Dunkin’. “Protein Milk tastes great across coffee, lattes and refreshers without changing the flavors guests already love, and we’re excited to support the launch in unexpected ways.”

Classic lagers to drink if you want your beer to “taste like beer”
Pilsner Urquell

When you think about the flavor of beer, what do you imagine? To me, it’s a crisp, refreshing, no-frills lager. The type of beer you’d just as likely crack open on an unseasonably warm spring day while grilling as you would after an afternoon of mowing the lawn on a hot, hazy, humid summer day. It’s light, refreshing, and tastes like beer.

That’s not to say that there isn’t a place for chocolate- and coffee-centric porters or boozy, barrel-aged stouts, or even tart, lip-smacking sour beers. There is a time and place for those and many other styles. It’s just that sometimes I want to crack open a beer and not taste an explosion of tropical fruit juices or get bashed in the head with malts or oaky wood. I want a beer that tastes the way I imagine it should. Specifically, I’m thinking about a balanced, thirst-quenching lager.
