While wine is undeniably enjoyed all year-round, the holiday season is one of the most popular times of year when Americans drink it. Even those who do not drink wine at home regularly may find themselves purchasing or enjoying a bottle as part of festive holiday gatherings.
A recent report by Gourmet Gift Baskets analyzed Google search data to determine seasonal wine trends. The report used data from 2023 to 2024, analyzing monthly search numbers to determine the most popular holiday wines in the U.S. The report found that wine searches on Google spike in November and December, showing that Americans are most interested in exploring wines around the holidays.

The bottom-ranked are Chenin Blanc in #10, Malbec in position #9, and Shiraz in position #8, having the least amount of interest.
