Homeless dog makeovers is a thing and we love it

Dog, as the saying goes, is man’s best friend. However, this seems questionable considering our track record of caring for our “best friends.” According to the ASPCA, nearly 4 million dogs enter shelters every year, and more than 1 million are euthanized due to overpopulation.

Yes, that’s a serious bummer; but this is Feel Good Friday, so let’s focus on the positive, shall we? For example, Wahl — the legendary maker of beard trimmers and other grooming products — has been supplying pet shelters with thousands of bottles of shampoo and all kinds of grooming supplies.

Most of the dogs that come through animal shelters have filthy, matted hair, and about half stay that way due to limited resources. As you can imagine, folks are less inclined to adopt pups that look like fuzzy garbage; to give homeless canines a chance at happiness, Wahl is helping these dogs look as lovable on the outside as they are on the inside.

Wahl is coordinating their efforts with the Greater Good Foundation, a charitable organization dedicated to making things better for pets, people, and the environment. You can see the results of this collaboration at the Dirty Dogs Before and After Gallery.

While you’re clicking, you might strongly consider adopting a dog. There are still plenty of pups that need adopting, and thanks to Wahl and Greater Good, many of them are well groomed.

In addition to making excellent grooming products for dogs, Wahl makes a great deal of grooming products for men. We urge you to check out some of their stuff and help support homeless dogs in the process.

Although Apple TV+ has a number of hits on its hands, Shrinking has proven to be one of the service's most successful shows over the course of its first two seasons. After the second season wrapped up in December of 2024, fans have been eagerly anticipating a third outing.

Unlike some shows that take years to return, it's now looking like Shrinking could be back before the end of the year after news broke that the third season has finished filming. In a video shared across Apple TV's various social media channels, we see Jason Segel and Harrison Ford addressing the show's cast and crew as production wraps.

The trailer for Pluribus.

After spending more than a decade in the world of Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul, Vince Gilligan is finally branching out into something new. The new series, which is coming from Apple, is called Pluribus and stars Rhea Seehorn, who also starred in Better Call Saul.

Now, we've got our first teaser for the new show, and it's just as baffling as you might expect. In the teaser, we see a woman licking every donut in a box of donuts, as well as a sign that says "Help yourself" along with a smiley face. The teaser is just 30 seconds long, and we don't see Seehorn or have any context for what the show is about.
