Nashville watchmaker Weiss Watch Company has teamed up with fellow Music City residents imogene + willie on a limited-edition release. It’s snazzy, it’s automatic, and it is officially up for sale.
The i+w x Weiss 38mm automatic 002 is a clean, classic-looking field watch with a single complication — a date window down at the 6 o’clock position — and is the second collab between the two brands.
In case you didn’t know, Weiss is the eponymous horology house of Cameron Weiss, an American watchmaker who trained in both the United States and Switzerland, and hand-assembles every watch at the company’s Nashville workshop.
The Weiss branding is all over this thing in the best way — including the maker’s signature see-through caseback, with the Weiss name riding the rotor.
It also comes with two straps: a classic brown Horween leather and a rugged-looking canvas option. I’ve always been partial to the leather, but that’s why they have two.
Nashville x Nashville
imogene + willie has made its name in American-made denim since 2009, when founders Matt and Carrie Eddmenson set up shop in a converted Nashville service station.
The brand patterns, cuts, and sews in the USA, and its ongoing Cotton Project sources cotton, spinning, dyeing, and weaving from a handful of Southern partners — much of it within a few hundred miles of the brand’s home base.

Meanwhile, Weiss is taking a similar tack for your wrist — part of a small but real renaissance of American microbrands reviving domestic mechanical watchmaking, a craft that all but disappeared after the quartz era.
When The Manual first covered Weiss, the company was still based in Los Angeles; these days Cameron Weiss runs the operation out of Nashville, which is a serious transition.
Speaking of serious, at $3,200, it isn’t an impulse buy — and it isn’t trying to be. This is a small-batch, made-in-USA automatic aimed at people who care where their things come from and how they’re put together. That’s an easy product to get behind.
