Known for infusing their handcrafts with fashion, 18 East is ready to add their touch to a new collaboration with Mephisto. Along with the French manufacturer, the New York-based clothing seller has created a new sneaker silhouette that does more than just ‘break the spectrum.’ Functional for streetwear or on the trails, this new sneaker has a fresh design that infuses aspects of your favorite footwear. Meant to add a slower living to your lifestyle, this sneaker is a prime example of what 18 East looks to achieve in the style space. Unlike others, the brand looks to design intentional creations that can fill a spot in your wardrobe. This new sneaker is a must for any wardrobe, along with Mephisto’s knack for crafting quality footwear.

18 East x Mephisto Break Spectrum

Crafted with Italian full-grain leather and rough-out suede, the new 18 East and Mephisto sneaker is available in neutral and chic colors. Made in France, the shoe features SOFT-AIR midsoles that help to reduce shock in each step. The design’s memory foam insole and heavy-duty lug pattern add extra cushion and all-terrain grip. Co-branded midfoot tags and an antique brass D-ring speed lacing system provide the style and security all users need. This low-top design comes in two colorways: a white/gray combination and a brown/green mix aptly nicknamed ‘Beef and Broc.’ Available via 18 East’s webstore, these sneakers retail for $414 and are bound to sell out quickly. While the sneaker doesn’t stray from your typical, everyday sneaker, the features and design allow it to become a special piece you can wear anywhere.

While its design might not seem drastically different from other New Balance sneakers, the 992 silhouette has earned its status as one of the most popular in the brand’s lineup. First released in 2006 to commemorate the brand’s 100th anniversary, the 992 gained notoriety as the go-to sneaker for the late Steve Jobs. As part of his uniform, the 992 became a go-to practical shoe for many. While Steve Jobs was keen on the sneaker’s grey shade, the newest release of the sneaker sets out to give this silhouette a moodier feel. Not straying too far from its traditional look, the latest 992 will feature a darker colorway, making it a perfect option for those seeking a comfortable shoe later in the year.
