The fall is always my favorite time of year. While my favorite sports season (baseball) is coming to a close, my favorite sartorial months are kicking into full swing. This year, as the months began to get a little cooler, I got to break out some of my favorite garments like jackets, sweaters, and pants that sport earthy tones and brilliant textures. Browns, greens, and blues combine with canvas, waffleknit, cashmere, and denim to make every moment an opportunity to sport peak fall fashion. My favorite items this year span everything from collections to individual pieces that made my autumn months ones to remember.

The Pantone Color of the Year is always a safe bet when looking for ways to update your wardrobe. This year, mocha is on the table, and I was able to snag a pair of Bonobos Jetsetter Dress Pants to complement the earthy tones of the season. They were the perfect companion for all my outfits, whether I was going dressed up with a jacket and tie, or dressed down with a sweater and neckerchief.
It didn’t hurt that these pants are also extremely comfortable and ready to wear the moment they are dropped off at your front door. Dinner and drinks or the boardroom, these dress pants are a must-have for all seasons, but especially this one.
rag&bone INFUSE Jeans
I am always on the hunt for something new. Something I have never seen before and something that will turn heads. That is the life of a men’s style writer anyway, always needing to level up. The denim game is always a fun place to do that, and rag&bone found a way to capture my attention with their new INFUSE denim line.
A balance of heritage and edge, reflecting rag & bone’s DNA: vintage-inspired, yet unapologetically urban and modern. Color gradations and overdyes that give each piece a one-of-a-kind character give these an unmatched contrast and brilliant blue color that I don’t have in my closet. Beckett Simonon Bernard Tassel Loafer
Remember when I said vintage was back? This is another example. The tassel loafer was something I grew up seeing my grandfather wear. It felt old and out of touch. However, it is back with a vengeance, and it is poised to take over the footwear world in 2025. Loafers are back in general, and while you could opt for a penny loafer or a bit loafer, the tassel is my favorite, and this selection from Beckett Simonon is at the top of the list.
Hand-crafted and made to order to cut down on waste, Beckett Simonon is always a great go-to anytime you are in the hunt for a new dress shoe. I have a handful of their product and it is top of the line. These tassel loafers have gotten me nothing but compliments.
Khul Maverick Jacket and Rydr Flannel
I may be pushing the dandy thing a little hard in my day-to-day. I love dressing up, elevating every moment when I can. And while suits, ties, and dress shoes are my favorites, I do know how to get more rugged when the situation calls for it. Camping, hiking, logging, or manual labor, Kuhl had what I needed this fall. Let’s be real, I wasn’t logging or putting in too much manual labor, but man, these sure made it look like I was.
The Maverick Jacket combined a water-resistant canvas exterior and a fleece interior that would have kept me warm even if I wore a tank top underneath. But with the Rydr Flannel’s workhorse plaid and corduroy details keeping me warm and dry, there was no doubt I could wear this same combo deep into the winter.
Urbane & Gallant Black Lounge
Urbane & Gallant is one of my new favorite brands to hit the scene. While they are smaller than your big fashion houses, they look to change the industry with their ethos on new age masculinity and driving quality style. As uncompromising as they are with their goals and their craftsmanship, I am equally uncompromising in my love for lounging.
The brand’s Black collection is a simple capsule including a suit, tee, polo, and my personal favorite, a hoodie and sweat pant combo that came in handy binge watching scary movies all through October. Other than the impossibly comfortable fabric (I don’t remember ever falling asleep during The Conjuring), my favorite thing about the pants is the open bottoms. Finally, a return to the sweat pants of my childhood and leaving the joggers behind.
Buck Mason California Cashmere Polo
Be happy you aren’t around me when I put this sweater polo on, because I will never be able to do so without channeling my inner George Costanza and calling out, “Of course it’s cashmere!” Few items are more integral to a man’s fall wardrobe than a cashmere sweater. While you could go with a regular crewneck or a V-neck, I am more of a fan of grabbing a solid cashmere sweater polo.
Buck Mason is up there with my favorite brands due to their ability to combine high-quality menswear with masculine style. This polo is the perfect example of that combo. Once I threw it on, I couldn’t help but think this is exactly something that James Bond would wear. Classic, fit, functional, and versatile.
Arcade Momentum Belt
I may have the toughest job in the world. I am forced to take new products and try them out so I can report back to you on what I find. If you are picking up on a little sarcasm, it is because I am laying it on pretty thick. I have the best job in the world, and things like this Arcade Momentum Belt are the reason. Braided belts are making a comeback, but if you aren’t ready to go full-on Michael Bolton with one of those bad boys, you can opt for this instead.
A nice middle-ground between the casual belts of the past and something more fitting for today, this piece features malleable webbing that adjusts to your size with just enough stretch to make sure you can eat as much as you want during the holidays without the embarrassing need to adjust your belt halfway through.
Bremont Supermarine 500m w Nato strap
What would a “What I am wearing” guide be without a great watch? As someone who believes the right watch can make or break an outfit, a versatile piece is one of the most important things you will have in your arsenal. This is my first Bremont watch, and it definitely won’t be my last.
The latest evolution of Bremont’s high-performance dive watch, this version is now housed in a 43mm case crafted from corrosion-resistant 904L stainless steel. I need something I can take from adventuring during the day, whether facing my fear of diving or exploring Iceland, to trying every old-fashioned I can find. And electing to go with the NATO strap gives this a distinct Daniel Craig James Bond feel.
