Indian Motorcycle is setting up a major shift in its racing strategy as it moves toward 2026. The company has signed a multi-year agreement with Vance & Hines Motorsports to run its factory racing program in the MotoAmerica King of the Baggers series. The move comes as Indian prepares for a new leadership era and signals a clear plan to stay competitive on the track.

The partnership starts with a full factory effort, backed by a fresh roster of high-profile riders, the 2026 Indian Wrecking Crew. The team includes 2024 champion Troy Herfoss, 2023 champion Hayden Gillim, and rising rider Rocco Landers. All three will race aboard new Vance & Hines-built Indian Challenger machines powered by the PowerPlus engine. The team is targeting the season opener at Daytona International Speedway in early March 2026.

This agreement brings together long racing histories. Indian has been tied to racing since 1901, while Vance & Hines has spent decades running successful programs across road racing, flat track and drag racing. Together, they account for multiple King of the Baggers championships since the series began in 2020. The factory effort will also receive backing from J&P Cycles, MOTUL, Progressive Insurance, Drag Specialties and Performance Finance.

Focus on the 2026 King of the Baggers effort

The 2026 program centers on the Indian Challenger platform, which has already claimed three championships in six seasons. The PowerPlus V-Twin engine provides liquid-cooled performance aimed at competing with larger rivals in the series. With Vance & Hines handling development and preparation of the race bikes, Indian is positioning the Challenger as its primary tool for the new season and the push for another title.

Previous performance

Since the first King of the Baggers race in 2020, Indian and Vance & Hines have been tied to four of the six championships in the class. The new agreement marks the first time the two will operate as a combined factory effort, signaling a structured approach as Indian enters its 2026 racing phase.

Royal Enfield gets World Origin recognition for their 125th anniversary
Pure motorcycling lands an honored plaque to go along with the 2026 Royal Enfield Classic 650 125th Anniversary Edition
Headlight, Transportation, Vehicle

What do Penicillin, a tank, Monty Python, the color mauve, and a Royal Enfield have in common? Go ahead, take a sec, because I couldn't answer this question when I was asked. They are all accredited sites from World Origin Site. What does that mean? It means that something unique, groundbreaking, and world-changing happened, and we want to remember it. The locations included in the list commemorate some of the world's most significant cultural events. And at the end of the day, these events are cemented in our collective cultural consciousness. The newest inclusion is Royal Enfield, who recieved thier plaque at the site of their first factory, where they unveiled their 2026 Royal Enfield Classic 650 125th Anniversary Edition.

It’s just a wall in Redditch today, but 125-years-ago, somebody did something that changed the world, and we’re here to mark the exact spot. - Martin Wilkie, Founder, World Origin Site

25 years of Fast & Furious legacy all at the tip of your fingers
Petersen Automotive Museum is giving you the chance to see the cars that raced into our hearts with Dom and Brian.
Car, Car Show, Transportation

Yesterday marked 25 years since the release of one of the greatest movies of our generation. Two and a half decades since Brian O'Conner (Paul Walker) went undercover with the Toretto family to scour the world of illegal street racing in search of those responsible for truck heists. Of course, who could resist the idea that family conquers all and the charm of the patriarch, Dominic (Vin Diesel), and his sister, Mia (Jordana Brewster). However you may feel about the ten movies that followed (that is right...TEN), the original The Fast and the Furious redefined an entire automotive culture for a new century. I mean, truly, how did Tej (Ludacris) go from garage owning gear head in Miami to super hacker with no explanation? Anyway, if you are like me, you loved the ridiculous cars that have shown up through the years, and that means you will be excited to know that the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles expanded their "Fast & Furious Legacy" exhibit to include all of your favorite super machines.

Maserati refreshes its entire lineup for the 2027 model year
A more powerful engine, a new front end, and several features now available as standard
Maserati's 2027 lineup of vehicles

A new face, a luxury touch on everything you interact with, and a not insignificant power boost to one of the most interesting V6 engines on the planet. These are the highlights of Maserati’s 2027 lineup. Though it’s technically a bit of a mid-cycle refresh, no new vehicles are being released, there are still some notable differences between the upcoming Maseratis and their 2026 equivalents. It’s Maserati’s biggest string of updates since last year’s MCPura launch, with several supercar-inspired tweaks making their way to the likes of the GranTurismo and GranCabrio.

The Maserati GranTurismo and GranCabrio both benefit from an extra 40 horsepower, with the 3-liter V6 Nettuno engine under the hood now pumping out 582 horsepower at its peak. Overall responsiveness of the engine and transmission has been improved too, due to an updated calibration, and the sound-boosting Sportivo exhaust now comes as standard with all ICE Maseratis. Both vehicles, along with the Folgore, also come with a more aggressive front end. The reworked air intakes arguably stand out most on the new fascia, though the large front splitter and “shark nose” styling are both very apparent.
