Feel Good Friday – (Belvedere) RED

Shake it! Stir it! Swill it! Today is National Vodka Day. So what better day to celebrate Belvedere Vodka’s third year partnering with (RED) with a special edition bottle.

Fifty percent of profits from the global sale of the (BELVEDERE)RED bottle will contribute to the Global Fund, one of the world’s leading financiers of programs to fight HIV/AIDS in Africa.

This year’s bottle, launched in September, comes in a semi transparent metallic red bottle. Won’t loose this one in the bar! Besides being one of the best premium vodkas out there, this partnership has provided funding for more than 4.5 million days of life-saving HIV/AIDS medicine since 2011. Enough to support 8,300 HIV positive women with access to treatment during pregnancy and breastfeeding, thereby helping prevent transmission of the virus from mother to baby.

Charles Gibb, President of Belvedere Vodka, told us, “Our passion for philanthropy led to the creation of (BELVEDERE) RED in 2011, and our commitment to helping (RED) and the global health community achieve the first AIDS-free generation by 2015 has not waivered since. The (BELVEDERE)RED bottle is symbolic of our dedication to (RED) and a sign to our audience that we, collectively as a global community, can put an end to mother-to-child transmission of this deadly disease – but only with their support.”

The festive color is perfect for the upcoming holiday season and comes in three sizes: 750 mi, 1 liter and 1.75 liter formats with the 750 ml size retailing for $29.99. (Belvedere) RED will be available thru December 2013.

Drink up for a great cause! And let us know what your favorite vodka cocktail is on our Facebook Page.

Apple TV+ has an impressive library that includes great movies and shows
Austin Butler in Masters of the Air.

When computer company Apple announced that it was getting into the streaming TV game, there were plenty of people who were skeptical about the company's ability to pull it off. Why would the tech giant, which is most known for the Macintosh and the iPhone, have any credibility in making television shows? It doesn't seem the two ideas would mesh in any meaningful way, but in the years since Apple TV Plus launched, the company has come up with some pretty impressive original shows, and it picked up a Best Picture Oscar on top of that.
What's even more impressive is that these Apple TV shows and movies run the gamut from comedy to drama, and are all set in wildly different and imaginative places. Apple may be best known for making great phones, but it turns out it knows how to tell pretty interesting stories, too. These Apple TV movies and shows are the cream of the crop and the best on this streaming service.
