Town Branch Distillery has gained quite a following for its award-winning portfolio of bourbons and whiskey. Recently, the Lexington, Kentucky-based distillery announced the release of a new, age-stated wheated bourbon that is sure to excite fans of the brand.
Town Branch 6 Year Wheated Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey

This new wheated bourbon begins with a mash bill of 70% corn, 22% wheat, and 8% malted barley. It’s matured for at least 6 years in new, #4-level char American oak barrels.
According to the brand, this results in a complex, memorable 99-proof expression that opens with notes of oak, floral fruits, and cinnamon bark on the nose. The palate is centered on flavors like butterscotch, buttery biscuits, gentle spices, charred oak, almond cookies, honey, caramelized sugar, and apple pie. The finish is soft, mellow, and ends with a balance of sweetness and spices. It’s best enjoyed neat, on the rocks, or with a splash or two of water to open up the aromas and flavors.
“We realized this whiskey was going to be something very special when we tasted it at six years old, which for us is a sweet spot for our other bourbon mash bills,” said Dave Bob Gaspar, Head Distiller and Blender. “I like to say we waited patiently, but in reality, we could hardly help ourselves, so we found creative ways to distract ourselves for a couple more years.”
Where can I buy it?

Town Branch 6 Year Wheated Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey is available beginning this week at the distillery and nationwide at whiskey retailers for the suggested retail price of $49.99 per 750ml bottle.
