Jeptha Creed is all about farm-to-bottle distilling. To truly highlight its dedication to local ingredients, the popular Kentucky-based brand is releasing its most agriculturally forward bourbon.
Bruce’s Blue Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey

It’s called Bruce’s Blue Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey, and it features heirloom corn varietals that were completely developed, planted, and harvested on Jeptha Creed’s own farm. The mash bill is 75% corn, 20% malted rye, and 5% malted barley. It’s bottled at 100 proof and, according to the brand, opens with a nose of clover honey, cocoa powder, candied orange peels, almond cookies, and roasted coffee. Sipping it reveals notes of cola, dates, cocoa, maple wood, and clove. The finish is long, warm, and ends with notes of white pepper, mint, crème brûlée, and pipe tobacco.
“At Jeptha Creed, we’ve always believed that great bourbon begins on the farm,” Joyce Nethery, Master Distiller and CEO of Jeptha Creed Distillery, says.
“Bruce’s Blue is a meaningful release for our family because it reflects both our spirit of innovation and our commitment to heirloom grains. This bourbon represents an exciting future, driven by the unique, unmatched flavors that only our proprietary grains can deliver.”
Where can I buy it?

If you would like to add Bruce’s Blue Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey to your home bar, you might have to take a road trip to get a bottle. That is, unless you live in the Blue Grass State, because this farm-centric whiskey is only available at the Jeptha Creed Distillery Visitor Center and at select Kentucky alcohol retailers for the suggested retail price of $59.99 for a 750ml bottle.
