If your only experience with James B. Beam Distilling Co. is Jim Beam White Label, you’re really missing out on some exceptional, award-winning whiskeys. A great example is its Little Book series of whiskeys. Recently, the brand launched its tenth chapter in this popular series, and it’s not to be missed.
Little Book Chapter 10: “All the Wiser”

The little book is Freddie Noe, 8th Generation Master Distiller, Fred B. Noe Distillery’s personal whiskey series. Released once per year, it’s made to honor his Grandfather Booker’s distilling style. The series has reached new heights with its tenth release. This year’s blend includes many different hand-selected barrels of varying aging, including those finished in sherry casks and toasted bourbon barrels.
“Ten whole chapters of Little Book, and through every one of them, I’ve learned something new. Back in the beginning, I looked at blends differently, focusing on percentages and “perfection”. The whiskey sure tasted good, but I had a feeling I was missing out on something bigger,” Noe says.
“So, I set out on a journey to see what the whiskey could teach me. Each release is a milestone along the way. From one blend to the next, my know – how grew. But I found something else to be just as important: an instinct to listen to the whiskey. Because no matter how sure I am of the profile I want to get to, the whiskey has its own plans. So now, I don’t push it towards one specific outcome.
According to the brand, the result is a memorable, 122.6 Proof whiskey that begins with a nose of figs, raisins, and molasses cookies. Sipping it reveals notes of caramelized sugar, cinnamon candy, and charred oak. The finish is long, warm, and ends with a mix of seasoned oak and raisins.
Where can I buy it?
