Global coffee tournament in a box: Cometeer’s World Mug Collection drops May 18

Cometeer’s new World Mug collection turns coffee into a global competition

Cometeer
Cometeer

Cometeer is one of the most unique (and my favorite) brands in the realm of ready-to-drink coffee. Now, they’re back with a limited-edition drop with the release of the World Mug Collection, a global tasting experience that includes 16 coffees from 16 regions. With standout coffee origins like Colombia, Ethiopia and Kenya and classics from Italy and England, this box tastes coffee lovers on a travel journey right from their homes.

The collection is designed as a tournament-style tasting, with head-to-head matchups that let customers compare, rate and advance their favorites to crown a personal “champion” cup. Not only does this add to the fun, but it also means one lucky participant will also win a year of Cometeer. Using the Cometeer apps, coffee drinkers can track their picks and unlock personalized coffee profiles based on their drinking preferences. Using the app will bring coffee lovers closer to learning about the origins, roast levels, and flavors of each cup. Each box also includes a printed passport to track flavors on paper, plus informatio on each coffee.

Inside the World Mug Collection are 32 capsules (two of each coffee), with some highlights including:

  • Proud Mary Ghost Rider (Australia)
  • Onyx Aponte Village (Colombia)
  • George Howell Tarrazu (Costa Rica)
  • Counter Culture Slow Motion Decaf (Switzerland)

If you want to get your hands on the limited-time drop, check Cometeer.com starting on May 15th for presale and general release on May 18. Prices start at $99 and $79 for subscribers and first-time customers.

Puerto Rico Distillery

Don’t be confused by its name. Puerto Rico Distillery isn’t on the island of the same name. It’s actually a family-owned craft distillery located in Maryland. Founded by father-and-daughter team Angel and Crystal Rivera, it was created to pay tribute to the distilling history of Puerto Rico. Recently, the distillery moved into a historic building in Brunswick, Maryland, and is celebrating by launching a special rum release.

Tequila Corralejo Introduces Smaller Bottle For the First Time in More Than 250 Years
Alcohol, Beer, Beverage

If you’ve walked into a Mexican bar or restaurant, chances are you’ve noticed the big blue bottle of tequila. Corralejo is famous for its tall, slim bottles that come in 750 milliliters and 1.75 liters. The 750-milliliter bottle is the standard size you’ve probably become familiar with. Corralejo also has clear bottles for its Blanco, red bottles for its Añejo, and a tall, round, bright blue bottle for its Triple Distilled Tequilas, among other shapes and types.

It’s been this way for decades and decades. But for the first time, Corralejo is meeting the demand for smaller, easily digestible, and giftable bottles. Arriving ahead of Hispanic Heritage Month and Mexican Independence Day in September, Corralejo is introducing the 375ml Reposado bottle, which aims to create “a timely entry point into Tequila Corralejo’s more than 250 years of tequila-making heritage, while offering a right-sized option for intimate gatherings, gifting, and cocktail occasions.”
