Founded in 2010, Angel’s Envy is a popular Kentucky-based brand known for secondary finishing in a variety of unique, flavorful casks. Recently, the brand announced the release of a new rye whiskey finished not only in one special barrel, but two.

Both whiskeys were matured for 8 to 11 years total. One whiskey was also finished in peach brandy barrels for 15 and 23 months, and the other was finished in toasted oak barrels for 6 and 12 months. This marriage of uniquely finished whiskeys results in a 106.4 proof, sippable, memorable expression.

According to Angel’s Envy, this limited-edition whiskey opens with notes of stone fruit, baking spices, toasted vanilla beans, and oaky wood. The palate centers on ripe peach, caramelized sugar, cinnamon candy, toasted oak, and peppery rye. The finish is long and warm, ending with a mix of caramel apples and oak. This rye whiskey is best enjoyed neat, on the rocks, or with a splash or two of water on a cool autumnal evening. Maybe save this one for sipping and mix with something else.

“The Cellar Collection is where we challenge ourselves to explore what’s possible through finishing, while using the very best of our whiskey archives,” Martin says.

“With Volume 6, I wanted to build layers of flavor. The peach brandy barrels bring vibrant fruitiness, while the toasted oak adds warmth. Together, they create a whiskey that’s complex yet balanced, elevating rye in unexpected ways.”

Where can I buy it?

Sadly, you might not be able to stroll into your local liquor store to grab a bottle of this limited release whiskey. Only 36,000 bottles of this Angel’s Envy Cellar Collection will be made available to the public. If you want a bottle of Volume 6: Straight Rye Whiskey Finished in Peach Brandy & Toasted Oak Barrels, it will be available throughout the US beginning on October 9, 2026, for the suggested retail price of $199.99 for a 750ml bottle.
