The new Defy Skyline line by Zenith has been expanded to include four additional models, each with a gold case (yellow or rose) and an integrated H-Link bracelet. These four new models are a 41mm yellow gold model that is time-only; a 41mm rose gold model with an openworked movement (skeleton); a 42mm rose gold model with a chronograph function; and a rose gold tourbillon model that was introduced earlier. Each of these four models have octagonal gold cases with a 12-sided faceted bezel and a predominantly brushed surface treatment along with some polishing on the edges.
The 41mm yellow gold Defy Skyline model includes an olive green dial with the signature embossed four-pointed star design. The dial also includes a sunburst effect that will create some light effects as you move the wrist. At 9 o’clock, the small seconds counter measures tenths of seconds and completes a full rotation once every 10 seconds because the El Primero 3620 high frequency movement beats at 36,000 VPH. There is also a date window that matches the color of the dial at 3 o’clock. This model contains a single barrel that provides a 60-hour power reserve. The price is CHF 59,900.
The 41mm rose gold Defy Skyline Skeleton model replaces the solid dial with openworked rose gold bridges that form a four-pointed star design. The El Primero 3620 SK movement contains a turquoise silicon escape wheel that can be seen at 9 o’clock. In order to improve the visibility of the movement, the tenths of seconds counter has moved from the 9 o’clock position to the 6 o’clock position. A gold Zenith star is suspended between two bridges at 12 o’clock. The date complication has been eliminated in order to enhance the skeletonized architecture. The power reserve is 55 hours. The price is CHF 61,900.
The 42mm rose gold Defy Skyline Chronograph model includes a slate gray gradient dial that includes an embossed four-pointed star design. The model includes two snailed chronograph counters at 3 o’clock (for seconds) and 6 o’clock (for minutes). The small seconds counter is located at 9 o’clock. The date window with a black background is at 4:30. The chronograph hand is made of solid gold and includes an openworked star counter weight that moves in increments of 10 seconds. The scalloped flange of the model includes a 10-second track. The El Primero 3600 chronograph movement includes a 60-hour power reserve. The price of this model is CHF 64,900.
All of the models include tool-free interchangeable bracelet systems that come with complementary rubber straps, sapphire crystals both front and back and 100 meters of water resistance.
