Bentley used one of the world’s most famous art museums to showcase a trio of highly customized cars. The company brought three one-off Continental GT Mulliner builds to the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam, each shaped around the colors and motifs of a different Dutch master. Guests from Bentley’s Dutch retailers were invited to see the cars during a private preview before sitting down to a dinner inside the museum’s Gallery of Honour.

The Dutch Masters Collection includes three Continental GTs, each inspired by a single artist. The cars feature specific paint choices, interior palettes and small design callbacks that link directly to the artwork that inspired them. Mulliner treated each one as a stand-alone commission, complete with unique welcome lamp animations and bespoke trim pieces.

The three Dutch Masters cars

The Rembrandt car is a Continental GT Convertible finished in a deep green inspired by The Night Watch. Inside, Mulliner used red and cream touches drawn from the painting’s uniforms, along with green trim and small gold details. A feather animation appears in the welcome lamp, and the same motif is repeated on the door panels. Dutch Masters badging is placed on the treadplates and fenders.

The Vermeer car uses a Sapphire satin exterior and a panoramic roof to reflect the bright daylight seen in the painter’s work. The cabin mixes dark and light blues with a few yellow highlights. Mulliner added a cloud pattern from The Little Street to the door cards and welcome lamp. Piano Black trim runs across the fascia, and the rotating display includes a blue accent ring.

The Van Gogh car takes its color cues from The Starry Night. It wears Dark Sapphire paint with thin yellow pinstriping, and the interior combines blue and light neutral tones with yellow accents. The swirling night sky appears in the welcome lamp and etched door panels. Inside, the trim features a light veneer split by a dark pinstripe, along with yellow stitching and gold hardware.

Presentation details

Each car is delivered with a presentation key box built in the same hides used inside the vehicle. Laser-etched lids show the feather, cloud or night sky motif tied to the artist. All three cars include Blackline specification, Touring specification, and a body-colored styling kit. The cabins feature wellness seating, mood lighting, diamond knurling, the rotating display, and a Naim for Bentley sound system, rounding out the limited Dutch Masters Collection.

Architecture, Building, Office Building

Many things make you think of America, cowboy hats, bald eagles, air conditioning. But Rolls-Royce might be one of the last things that spring to mind when you're thinking of the U S of A.

Despite the German-owned luxury marque being about as British as it gets, Rolls has decided to celebrate the USA’s 250th birthday by delivering three vehicles. One in red, one in white, and one in blue. According to Rolls, this collection consists of a Bohemian Red Cullinan which “represented the strength, courage and entrepreneurial spirit that have defined America for 250 years.” An English White Phantom which “reflects the nation's founding ideals, timeless elegance and enduring pursuit of excellence.” and a Iguazu Blue Ghost which “symbolizes innovation, optimism and the limitless horizons that continue to define the American spirit.”
