Parabens are preservatives that many companies put in skin care products to extend shelf life and prevent spoilage. There are mixed opinions on the negative effects of parabens, but some studies have connected them to diseases and mild skin rashes. Because of this, skin care enthusiasts have started to shy away from anything with parabens in it and flocked to brands like eShave.

These new blends are available in three flavors: White Tea, Verbena Lime, and Orange Sandalwood. Each has a similar base of grapeseed, cottonseed, castor and safflower oils for top-line moisturizing, while avoiding clogged pores over time. EShave has also added vitamins A and E to your mug nice and soft following a shave.

Each is lightweight and loaded with individual properties for different faces. The Orange Sandalwood has a special blend of therapeutic botanicals to awaken your tired skin. Verbena Lime uses the natural properties in both elements to stimulate the skin, then soothe it for sensitive faces. Lastly, White Tea is the softest of the bunch, offering calm and subtle relief with potent healing.

“The oils prime and protect the skin pre- and during the shave, then absorb quickly to give skin an added layer of protection,” said eShave President/Founder Danielle Malka through a press release.

The scents definitely have a tropical aspect to them after a few trials and do provide a nice glide for the razor as it goes over the skin.

Each of the oils are $22 and can be purchased here.

Washing hair in shower

How often should men wash their hair? It's an important question you may not be asking.

"Men aren’t as educated with haircare as women," said Mezei Jefferson, former assistant vice president of education curriculum and digital content for L’Oreal. "Men are growing savvier, but more so in the beard care arena." That means you still may be washing your hair improperly, but that’s a whole complicated matter in its entirety. Let’s just focus on one aspect you’ve been getting wrong for years: Hair washing frequency.
