Founded by 30-year spirits veteran Jason Wooler, Wooler Brands recently announced the launch of two distinct spirits: Wooler Whiskey, a Kentucky Straight Bourbon distilled in Bardstown, Kentucky, and JP Vodka, a  gluten-free, 100% corn-based vodka produced in Texas.

Wooler Spirits

The first two spirits released by Wooler Brands are the aforementioned Wooler Whiskey and JP Vodka. The brand is starting off on a very good foot, as both Wooler Whiskey and JP Vodka have already earned Gold Medals at the 2026 San Francisco World Spirits Competition. So, you can rest easy knowing that experts have already stated that both of these spirits are worth adding to your home bar.

Wooler Whiskey is a classic Kentucky Straight Bourbon that begins with a mash bill of 72% corn, 18% rye, 5% malted barley, and 5% wheat. Distilled in Bardstown, Kentucky, it’s matured in heavy char #3 barrels. The result, according to the brand, is a 90-proof complex whiskey that features flavors of citrus peels, oak, and caramelized sugar. It was crafted to be enjoyed neat, on the rocks, or mixed into an Old Fashioned, Mint Julep, and all of your favorite cocktails.

Fans of sweet, sippable, mixable vodkas will love JP Vodka. Made with 100% corn and reverse-osmosis water, it’s distilled six times. Naturally gluten-free, the result is clean, crisp, noteworthy vodka that can be enjoyed neat, on the rocks, or mixed into a Vodka Martini, Vodka Tonic, or any of your go-to vodka-based cocktails.

“When I was finally able to get back to work, I turned to my family,” Jason Wooler, President and Founder of Wooler Brands, says.

“What we’re building is deeply personal. It’s something I’m proud of, something that tastes great, and is made with the people I love. After not knowing if I’d get another shot, this truly feels like the good life.”

Where can I buy them?

Both spirits are available at select alcohol retailers nationwide. Wooler Whiskey retails for $39.99 for a 750ml bottle. JP Vodka is available for the suggested retail price of $29.99 for a 750ml bottle. For more information on these and future releases, visit https://woolerbrands.us/.

While many bourbon giants are pausing production, an independent Kentucky family is doing the opposite.
Barrel, cask, window

There's a particular kind of confidence required to build a brand-new distillery in 2026, as the bourbon industry is in the middle of a hard correction.

Jim Beam paused production at its flagship Clermont facility for the entire year, Kentucky warehouses are sitting on a record 16-plus million aging barrels, and U.S. whiskey distillers cut output sharply through 2025 as younger drinkers buy less and the boom-era oversupply works its way through the system.
