SimplyGoodCoffee, a brand known for its innovative plastic-free coffee brewers, just dropped the next generation of plastic-free drip brewers. Pairing an exceptional cup of coffee with the one feature the original brewer was missing, the new SimplyGoodCoffee plastic-free programmable brewer lets coffee lovers wake up to a freshly brewed pot without sending hot or cold water through any aluminum or plastic.

As coffee drinkers become increasingly aware of what’s really going into their cup, this new launch includes a series of thoughtful upgrades from the original model. Beyond the programmability feature, the stainless-steel internal water pipe has been replaced with glass, the reservoir cover is now silicone, and the carafe and lid have been redesigned for an easier fit and greater durability. It also features an automatic drip-stop, a more efficient heater, improved water-level sensing, and programming that stays saved for up to three days during a power outage. The result? A smarter morning coffee routine upgrade for anyone looking to reduce plastic exposure without sacrificing a stellar cup of coffee.

Plastic-Free Programmable Brewer Innovation

“The coffee maker category has changed very little in decades, while consumers have become far more thoughtful about the materials they bring into their homes and use every day, ” says Dean Rotchin, CEO of SimplyGoodCoffee. “Our Plastic-Free Programmable Brewer combines the convenience and performance people expect with no plastic in the brew path, premium stainless steel and glass, and a design built for today’s wellness-minded consumer. That is where Simply Good Coffee is headed as a brand: challenging old appliance assumptions and building a new generation of products around better materials, better coffee, and modern living.”

Frey Ranch’s new fan-favorite Harvester release is made with a grain for livestock
Liquor, Whiskey, Bed of Straw

Frey Ranch Distillery, the farm-to-glass whiskey maker based in Fallon, Nevada, has announced the third release in its Harvester Series, and the headline ingredient is a grain you’d usually find in a feed trough.

The new grain is triticale, a hybrid of wheat and rye that’s grown mainly as livestock feed, with side jobs as a cover crop and a biomass crop.

Imperial stouts available everywhere that are perfect for fall
Sierra Nevada

I get it, you’re not happy that summer and its seemingly endless, sun-drenched days filled with light, crisp, refreshing beer are over. Even begrudgingly, you’ve likely already moved onto fall beer with Oktoberfest, Vienna lagers, pumpkin ales, and maltier, dark brews. But even though you’re not ready to put your board shorts and flip-flops away until next summer, the days are getting shorter and the nights are getting chillier. It’s almost imperial stout season.

As a beer drinker, I also struggle to move on from the lighter, crushable beers of summer and early fall. But I love a well-made imperial stout. This full-bodied, rich, high-alcohol brew is the perfect complement to the colder months ahead. In fact, there’s no beer style I’d rather drink while I sit beside a fall campfire.
