Hestan Culinary adds two new versatile pieces to the NanoBond collection

Best-selling Hestan Culinary NanoBond line just got a new expansion, adding more functional and versatile pieces of it’s collection. Since it’s debut in 2017, the Hestan Culinary Nanobond collection now includes a 6-quart stockpot and 6 quart- and 9-quart Rondeaus.

The NanoBond 6qt Stockpot joins the existing 8qt stockpot, which offers a smaller option for small soups, stews, and pastas (retails at $500). Meanwhile, the Hestan NanoBond 6qt Rondeau is great for versatile oven-to-table cooking like for hearty stews, shallow frying and braising, priced at $550 for 6-Quart and $600 for 9-Quart. The NanoBond collection is the first major innovation in stainless steel cookware in over a century, handcrafted in Italy and engineered to be 4x stronger with up to 5x the lifespan of traditional cookware.

Patented NanoBond technology

With patented NanoBond technology, Hestan NanoBond cookware features thousands of titanium-based nano layers bonded directly into stainless steel, making it a collection that sets itself apart from the rest. The NanoBond features 35% greater heat conductivity than typical aluminum-clad cookware and a non-porous, stick-resistant surface for easy cooking and cleanup. Each piece has sealed rims and ergonomic handles designed with chefs and home chefs in mind. All pieces in the collection are also high heat and oven-safe up to 1050°F.

Since I first tried Hestan cookware earlier this year, I was pretty impressed right off the bat. Compared to other of my tried and true pans, I found that the even heating was pretty noticeable. I use my 11-inch Hestan NanoBond pan for almost everything — and it’s never failed me. It’s also super easy to clean and I feel good about using pans without forever chemicals.

The Hestan NanoBond handle never gets too hot when cooking, making it easy to up your game as a home chef. I think these new stockpots and rondeaus will be a great addition to the collection, especially for those chefs who make lots of stews, soups, and pastas. If you’ve never cooked with this type of premium cookware, however, I will say that it takes some time to adjust. You can put this collection in the dishwasher, though I would recommend purchasing the Hestan Professional Stainless Steel cleaner to get each piece as shiny and clean as new after every use.

This new coffee and hydration bundle gives back to Brazilian farmers
This $50 coffee & hydration bundle is your new summer essential
Equator Coffee

We're right in the heart of the summer -- and this fun seasonal collab from Equator Coffees makes the perfect pairing for those who love coffee (and hydration) as much as I do. The new Golden Hour x Buoy Hydration Bundle, (priced at $50), pairs Equator's Golden Hour blend (bright, fruity notes of orange creamsicle and Rainier cherry) with Buoy's unsweetened hydration drops and a 32oz water bottle featuring original artwork from local SF muralist Rymie. As you build a nice war-weather routine, this bundle helps emphasize the importance of staying hydrated (and caffeinated) all summer long. Even better, 5% of collection sales support youth agricultural education at the farm behind the blend in Brazil.

“Golden Hour is summer in a cup. It’s bright, vibrant, and the kind of coffee I reach for when the days get longer. Pairing it with Buoy hydration drops and a custom Nalgene just made sense to us—great coffee to start your day, hydration to keep you feeling your best, and a bottle you’ll actually want to bring everywhere this summer," says Helen Russell, Co-Founder and Executive Chair.

The best value single malt whisky from every region of Scotland
Take a tour of Scotland with these gateway whiskies
Aberlour

If you’re new to the world of Scotch whisky, you might just assume that it all tastes the same. Well, not only are there major differences in aroma and flavor between many well-known whiskies, but there are also five distinct regions, and each has its own unique flavor profile. Each region is also home to many value whiskies. Today, I’m going to highlight one from each. But before I get into that, I need to start at the beginning.

When I first started writing about alcohol, Scotch whisky seemed a little overwhelming to me. When I first tasted it, I thought they all tasted the same. That changed when I was given a dram of single malt whisky from The Macallan alongside a dram of single malt whisky from Laphroaig. Boy, was my mind blown.

Craft beer and spirits, Indigenous style
A look at a unique tribal label within the craft beer industry
Talking Cedar Brewery & Distillery.

When an industry fails to reflect the community, it falls short. That's the case for everything from fashion and music to the craft beer movement. Diversity in production honors the diversity in consumers.

In terms of beer, it's long been a white and male dominated affair. Lately, marginalized folks have made strides and craft beer has partnered up with some organizations doing great work. But so much work is left to do.
