To say that Four Roses is a historic brand is a massive understatement. This Kentucky-based distillery has been crafting award-winning whiskey for the last 138 years. Recently, the brand announced the release of the oldest whiskey in its storied history.
Four Roses Anthology Series Chapter One: Origin

Four Roses got its name because, in 1888, founder Paul Jones Jr. proposed to his love. She accepted his wedding proposal by attending a grand ball wearing a corsage that was adorned with four red roses. Chapter One: Origin is a tribute to the love that would create the now timeless brand. Matured for 21 years, it’s the oldest whiskey the brand has ever released.
Made using the OBSF recipe, this new release has a proof of 124.9. According to Four Roses, it begins with aromas of apricot, vanilla, and spiced mint. Sipping it reveals flavors like oak, dried cherries, chocolate, and clover honey. The finish is long, warm, and ends with a mix of dried fruits and charred oak. This special expression is best enjoyed neat, with a single ice cube, or a splash or two of water to open up epic aromas and flavors.
“This release represents more than age; it represents legacy,” Brent Elliott, Master Distiller at Four Roses, says.
“With Anthology, we wanted to create a series that allows us to tell the deeper stories behind Four Roses through rare and intentional releases. Chapter One: Origin pays tribute to the moment that inspired our name and the values of connection and passion that continue to define our brand today.”
Where can I buy it?

Beginning on July 10th, Chapter One: Origin will be available exclusively at the Four Roses Visitor Center for the suggested retail price of $500 for a 750ml bottle. Don’t miss your chance to own a piece of Four Roses history.
