Cardo launches Beyond GTS and GT smart helmets for connected riders

Cardo’s new BEYOND helmets merge protection, sound, and connectivity

Cardo Systems has officially stepped into the helmet game with something big. The company best known for its Bluetooth communicators just introduced its first fully integrated helmets, the Beyond GTS and Beyond GT. These aren’t just lids with speakers tucked inside. They’re the result of two decades of communication tech and four years of focused helmet R&D, bringing together safety, audio, and connectivity in one package.

The Beyond lineup signals a turning point for Cardo. Not limited to in-helmet communication, Cardo built the entire helmet around its technology. The result is a system that feels purpose-built for riders: lightweight, connected, and loaded with smart features.

Beyond GTS: safety meets smart engineering

The flagship Beyond GTS starts with a carbon fiber shell and multi-density EPS liner for serious protection without the weight penalty. Aerodynamics and ventilation, shaped through wind-tunnel testing, are designed to reduce drag, maintain steady airflow, and maintain visibility in changing weather.

Inside, the GTS has 53mm helmet speakers, tuned by Cardo Sound Labs for audio clarity with active noise cancellation (ANC) engineered specifically for motorcycles. A helmet health indicator monitors shell integrity and alerts riders if the helmet’s protection might be compromised.

The GTS safety tech also includes an Emergency Release System, integrated crash detection, and an active brake light to alert traffic behind. Visibility gets a boost from a Pinlock 200 anti-fog lens, while Cardo’s Dynamic Mesh Communication (DMC) suite keeps riders in touch over a 2km range with voice-activated control. The list goes on and on, including even small touches like wireless charging, an auto on/off function, and moisture-wicking liners to make long rides easier.

Beyond GT: streamlined but still smart

The Beyond GT trims some of the premium materials but keeps the same design philosophy. Built with a lightweight fiberglass shell and a bright rear reflector, it supports ANC and Bluetooth connectivity with a 1000 mAh battery for extended rides. It skips wireless charging but keeps comfort high with GT padding and a Pinlock 120XLT lens for clear vision.

Both models reflect Cardo’s move from accessories to fully integrated protection systems. The GTS will retail for $1,199, and the GT for $949, with availability starting in summer 2026.

My first vehicle was a 1988 Ford Ranger. It was small, reliable, and the perfect first car. However, I wasn't allowed to park it in the driveway at home because it went through as much oil as it did gas. The leak was bad enough that I had to check and refill the oil once a week. The same cadence as the gas tank. That was where I learned the importance of fluids for cars. McLaren hits the Formula 1 tracks across the globe with that importance at the forefront of mind as they compete for the championship, and will now be teaming with Motul to take their collaboration for the world's most reliable lubricant to the world of endurance racing. From the high stress of speed in Formula 1 to the endurance of long-distance racing, the perfect bespoke lubricant is on the way.

McLaren was already using a very high-performance transmission fluid, with an extremely high level of requirements. Our challenge was to go even further: decrease friction losses even more while ensuring lubricant durability over time. The formulation developed with McLaren Racing has been validated to maintain its performance over several thousand kilometers under Formula 1 conditions.
