The legendary running back teams with the legendary quarterback to bring 250th birthday

Summer kicks off this weekend. That means grilling and beer are top of mind again. Knock off the dust, get to the grocery store for the meat and pellets or charcoal, and start inviting the people you can’t wait to grill for. Of course, you cannot forget the beverage. Me, I am an old-fashioned guy, but that can’t happen grilling in the summer heat. So, instead, Bud Light is the most common choice. They know this. And they have teamed with NFL legends Emmitt Smith and Peyton Manning to launch their “Grill for America” campaign with their “Priorities” TV spot. I got a chance to hear from them and got some grilling tips from the grill master himself, Emmitt Smith.

There’s nothing better than teaming up again with Emmitt and Bud Light to enjoy some beers and fire up the grill as we cheers to America’s 250th Bud Light will be there every step of the way with its new patriotic packaging and $250,000 giveaway that will give one lucky fan the chance to Grill Like A Pro all summer long. Cheers, America! – Peyton Manning

Some grilling tips from Emmitt Smith

I was blessed to grow up with a handful of people in my life who were exceptional grill masters. The kind of people who would have many people from around town flocking to their home whenever the grill was fired up. Forget going out to eat, this guy is grilling. I, unfortunately, didn’t get that gene, so I was fortunate to sit with the legendary Cowboy to get some guidance on how to grill like my father and brothers.

“There are no hacks,” Smith revealed. “You have to make sure your grill is really clean. You have to make sure that, whether you want to do charcoal, wood pellets, or open fire, you have to make sure you have the right wood, and you know what you’re doing. You have to make sure you prep. The utensils are sanitized, and the food is prepped. Anything that is marinated has at least 24-hours to marinate. Some people like to marinate for 45 hours, depending on what you’re cooking. That is my thing; everything needs to be organized. It is always a process. It has to be a process.”

When a Scotch company adds a new permanent bottling, that's news. When that same distillery is Glenglassaugh, which has some of the most interesting history in all of Scotch whisky, that's something to really pay attention to.

Their latest is a 15-year-old single malt, joining the flagship 12 Year Old as the second age-statement bottle in the coastal Highland distillery's core range.
